When it comes to this time of year, I love to mix-up my go to products. I’m looking out richer moisturisers, and I’m looking for more opaque, creamier formulas for lipsticks and foundations, and my fragrance choices are no different. My lighter, citrus perfumes have been popped back into their boxes until spring, and I’ve been after something deeper and more complex.
Clean Reserve is a brand I absolutely adore for easy to wear fragrances. Their bottles are the ones I reach for when I just want to smell good, and without fail, I’ve not tried a single one of their scents I’ve not absolutely adored. Their newest collection – Avant Garden is no different. A more luxurious take on the original Clean Reserve scents, the new collection comprises six new fragrances, all of which have been created with sustainable ingredients from France, and are formulated to be vegan, and cruelty-free too – so perfect if you’re looking for a perfume, which is both clean and green!
From the lineup, I couldn’t resist Sweetbriar & Moss. It’s part of the brand’s floral woody family, and it’s a real stand-out. At first spritz it’s super green-smelling and surprisingly strong. There’s a wonderful woodiness, which warms up the overall feeling of the scent, and it’s gloriously unisex. As you would expect, it smells super fresh and clean, but the woodiness gives the perfume a bit of complexity and depth which is completely addictive.
Whenever I wear it, I get numerous people telling me how good it smells – and I just love how easy it is to wear. Simple and elegant – it’s a perfect scent to wear all autumn long!
Clean Sweetbriar & Moss is priced at £129 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
