Beauty Gift Guide: Egyptian Magic*

When a product has magic in the title, I’m the first one to give it a bit of side-eye. I mean, how good a product need to be to get the title in there? Well, in Egyptian Magic’s case it’s well deserved. A multi-use product packaged in a bit of a retro tub, one of the product’s tricks is finding something it can’t be used for.

I first tried the stuff back when I was working in Dubai – it was sitting at the back of the beauty closet gathering dust and I couldn’t resist giving it a go. A rich, almost waxy balm, the formula melts on contact with the skin, and it smells faintly of honey and olive oil. Designed to moisturise, nourish and protect skin, Egyptian Magic is made up exclusively of six of nature’s most powerful healing ingredients (Olive Oil, Bees Wax, Honey, Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, Bee Propolis & Divine Love) and it’s perfect for skin that’s sensitive or reactive.

On a daily basis, I use Egyptian Magic for everything from hand cream (my hands get super dry at this time of year) to lip balm, if my skin is freaking out, or I feel like a moisture hit, a layer of the balm also leaves everything feeling calmed and nourished. Thanks to those powerful healing ingredients, you can apply a little of the Egyptian Magic to scars to help them fade, and patted into the skin, it even works as an amazing highlighter, which makes it look like you’re glowing from the inside out! I’m not surprised it’s got such a cult following – Kate Hudson swears by the stuff, and it’s one of those secret makeup artist tricks used backstage at catwalk shows.

Egyptian Magic is priced at £29 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
