With at least another three weeks of lockdown ahead of me, I’ve been trying to use this weird period of time as productively as possible. It feels like every inch of the house has been sorted, cleaned and organised, and alphabetised, I’ve been able to read a few books from my ‘pending’ pile, and pick up a few hobbies again. I’ve also started dry-brushing every morning, in the attempts to encourage lymphatic drainage and enjoy a bit of exfoliation.
Each morning, before hopping into the shower, I’ve been taking a few minutes to enjoy a thorough body brushing. Using long upward strokes, pointing towards the heart, it’s an easy way to enjoy a little self-care, and it feels absolutely amazing. Even though the bristles on the G.Tox Brush are quite stiff, so they don’t scratch skin. Instead it’s made from cactus bristles which won’t damage skin.
Specially shaped so you can reach awkward angles, the G.Tox Dry Brush is a perfect addition to my morning routine. Ideally, Goop recommends that you spend three to five minutes body-brushing, and from the first treatment you can feel the difference. It’s a great pre-tanning treat as skin feels silky soft, and it’s pried for some post-shower moisturising.
Goop G.Tox Ultimate Dry Brush is priced at £18 and is available here
