Happy Friday! I hope it’s as sunny with you as it is here in Scotland. Truly, I can’t remember a better Spring than the one we’ve had this year. This week in particular has been a scorcher; with bright sunshine and clear blue skies, not to mention rising temperatures, it feels like there’s never been a better time to toast a Friday evening with a rather fabulous Tequila!
Maestro Dobel sent over their Diamante Tequila to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the start of the month, and it’s quickly become a household favourite thanks to the complex notes of caramel, honey and maple. Unlike wine or gin, Tequila doesn’t make me feel sleepy after enjoying a glass, and Maestro Dobel’s Diamante is exceptionally high quality – it was even the world’s first cristalino, multi-aged tequila!
I’ve been loving it served with icy cold soda water and a few squeezes of fresh lime. It’s the most refreshing summer drink, and it makes me feel like I’m somewhere far more exotic than the bottom of the garden. If you fancy something that’s a little more refined, why not try the Maestro Dobel Diamante Black Diamond? Just mix 2 parts Maestro DOBEL Diamante with 1⁄2 part agave syrup and 1⁄2 part fresh lime. Then rim an old-fashioned glass with salt, combine all ingredients in cocktail shaker, add ice and shake. Strain over fresh ice in salted glass and enjoy! You can even add 1⁄4 fresh pomegranate or 20ml pomegranate juice and garnish with pomegranate seeds.
Maestro Dobel Diamante is priced at £48.00 and is available here
