I’m not quite sure where I read it, but years ago, I remember seeing an article all about Jennifer Lopez’s skincare secrets. It included all the normal gems – drink water, get eight hours of sleep, but what stood out was her admission that rather than keeping pricey eye creams around her eyes, she used them as her face cream instead. Quite rightly, she pointed out that the formulas are full of more potent ingredients which benefit the whole face, so she just used it everywhere. Obviously I don’t have the bank balance of J.Lo, so I usually just look longingly at my eye cream tubs thinking back to the article, but when AHC sent over their Real Eye Cream for Face, it pretty much felt like my prayers had been answered.
I’ve not tried any of the AHC’s products before, but their Korean roots and seriously scientific formulas had me intrigued. In a stroke of good timing, I was just about at the bottom of my current day cream, so within 24 hours of it hitting the doormat, I was able to get testing. For reference, I’ve got dry skin which tends towards the sensitive side, so I need to be picky when it comes to creams, as I like to feel hydrated and dewy all day long.
AHC Essential Real Eye Cream for Face feels like it was pretty much made for me – it feels light and cooling on the skin, and the formula contains ‘ultra-fine micro emulsion technology’ which enables the effective delivery of ingredients deep into the skin, optimising their efficacy. AHC have designed the moisturiser to be as effective whether you use it as an eye cream or as a general day cream, and as you might be able to guess, I’ve fallen in love with it as an all-over hydrator.
Silky soft, and fast absorbing, AHC have designed the formula to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while supporting collagen production which naturally firms and plumps the under eyes for a youthful-looking finish. It’s the perfect base for summer makeup – and it keeps skin looking plump and dewy, and feeling fresh all day long.
AHC Essential Real Eye Cream for Face is priced at £26 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
