I always feel like L’Occitane are the perfect brand for summer skincare – their south of France background means that the fragrances are light and fresh, and it’s like they were made for balmy days. Over the past few days, the temperature skyrocketed here in Scotland, and honestly, this scrub became a bit of a lifesaver. Rather cleverly, when you use the scrub, once it washes off, it leaves a cooling sensation behind, so even when the temperatures climb, you’re left feeling all cool and calm. It’s such a genius idea, and it makes such a difference on hotter mornings.
Not only does the scrub leave skin feeling super cool, but seriously soft too. L’Occitane describe the consistency of the scrub as ‘jam-like’ and it’s a fun, almost jelly-like goo filled with good-for-skin sugary particles which delicately buff, without feeling too harsh.
I’m also absolutely obsessed with the fragrance – it’s part of the brand’s Verveine line up, so Verbena is one of the main notes.
