k=-kLiving in lockdown didn’t have too many positives – but it did give me the chance to have a major clear-out, as well as give my hair and skin a bit of a rest. I’ve used my straighteners precisely once between then and now, and I’ve been making time to really baby my hair with masks and oils, and the result, five months later, is hair which looks and feels so much thicker and healthier than it did before.
Since I’ve not really been out and about, I didn’t want to spend crazy money on shampoos and conditioner, so I thought I’d try a few bits from US brand OGX. I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews online, so I picked a few of their products up when they were on offer in Boots, and I’ve been seriously impressed. I’ve got a lot of fine, dry hair, which tends to frizz, so it’s always a balancing act to find conditioners which deeply hydrate without overwhelming my hair, and I’ve fallen a bit in love with the OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Hair Mask.
The mask is a medium-weight conditioner which smoothes easily onto ends. Since I’ve (finally) got my roots seen to, I apply from roots to ends for maximum hydration. The mask itself smells amazing – it’s light and fresh, and even with the argan oil-rich formula, it never feels like it’s too much for my hair. I’ve been using it daily, letting it get to work whilst I shower, and I’ve been so impressed. Once my hair is blow dried, it feels so much softer and smoother. Even when my hair has just been rough dried, it looks much tidier than before – and it’s nowhere nearly as knotty and tuggy as it was before.
OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Extra Strength Mask is priced at £7.99 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
