When it comes to my daily routine, I like to keep things as simple as possible. Unless I’m out and meeting a client, I don’t like to bother with too much makeup. My skin always looks and feels so much better when I leave it alone, but I prefer going about my day with a little ‘something’ on. I’ve found pretty much the perfect solution in the form of Guinot’s Creme Youth Perfect Finish Cream.

Sitting somewhere between makeup and skincare, the Youth Perfect Finish Cream has become my daily go-to. Smoothed on after my regular serum, it’s got a beautifully hydrating formula which works in place of a regular moisturiser (or, when my skin is feeling dry, I use it in addition to a moisturiser). I just use my fingers to smooth it in, and as it’s worked into skin, pigments within the formula explode, allowing it, rather magically, to match every skin tone, leaving skin looking seriously fresh and radiant. It’s a light coverage which evens skin tone and disguises blemishes, whilst leaving the perfect amount of glow.

It’s such a clever cream, and I love the fact that, even during seasonal changes, when I would normally have to deal with changing the colour of my base, that Guinot’s Creme Youth Perfect will just adapt with my skin tone, no matter how pale or tan I become. Not only does it hydrate and even out skin, but with extended use it restores youthfulness and firmness, evens skin tone and minimises dark spots. There is even SPF50 to protect against damaging rays. As someone who often forgets this step (my skin gets weird about standalone SPF products, so I have to be careful) I love the fact that I can enjoy sun protection all year long.
