If looking after your skin in 2021 was one of your resolutions, TempleSpa has made it seriously simple to stay on track with the release of their new My Kind of Skin sets. Designed for all skin types, you can select kits which have been designed for everything from sensitive to oily skin types (with everything in between).
I opted to try out the Dry Skin Essentials, and I’ve been so impressed – coming packaged in a beautiful Tavel wash bag (which will come in so handy once we’re allowed to travel again) the trio of full-sized products have been designed to cleanse and hydrate skin.
The first of the trio I tried was the ‘In the Beginning’ Cleansing Melt. Even though I’ve massively reduced how much makeup I wear on a daily basis, a few Zoom meetings a week means I still need a thorough cleanse, and this is a dream of a product to use. It’s got a rich, silky texture which is enriched with tiny crystals, which means it exfoliates as well as cleanses skin. TempleSpa call it a ‘facial in a jar’, and honestly – they’re bang on. With ingredients including olive, calendula, basil, clary and lavender, it smells absolutely heavenly, and the tiniest amount has my makeup disappearing into my flannel. Ideal.
Once my face is completely cleansed, a few spritzes of Toning Essence leaves my skin feeling incredible (as well as more than a little fancy). I love facial sprays, and I use them liberally. Probably the only time I don’t use them is when I’m ‘toning’, and really, that’s because it’s the one skincare step I’ve tended to skip, until TempleSpa sent through their gorgeous Toning Essence. Unlike other toners I’ve tried, which leaves my skin feeling parched, this one is alcohol free and incredibly gentle on skin. Thanks to tomato, basil oil and melon extract, it’s beautifully cooling and calming, and it smells unreal.
The last product in the trio is Double Cream hydrating moisturiser, and it might just be my favourite. I am super fussy when it comes to skin creams – I need something rich and nourishing, but I don’t like anything too heavy or sticky. TempleSpa’s Double Cream sits right in the heart of what I’m after – it smoothes beautifully onto skin, and it feels heavenly to apply. Mediterranean botanicals including olive, avocado, red pepper, horse chestnut and blackberry help rehydrate and firm skin, and it leaves behind a perfect dewy glow. It’s a gorgeous base for makeup, and even on days when I stay fresh-faced, the cream leaves me feeling my best all day long!
