We might love our homes, but if we’re honest, we’d have to concede that they’re not quite as magnificent as some of the world’s best homes. And there’s nothing wrong with that! Sometimes, it feels like it’s better to look at those outstandingly luxurious properties from afar rather than have them ourselves. Can you imagine how much upkeep would be required to keep them in a state of perfection? And then there’s the cost factor.
Still, it’s always nice to take a look at just how nice real estate can be, isn’t it? In this blog, we’ll look at some of the features that you’ll typically find in the homes of the rich and famous.
Space for Days
The very best homes have space on space on space. Or at least, they have infinitely more space than the other properties in the area. If you’re in New York, having a Midtown apartment that’s the same size as a semi-detached UK property is an achievement. Mostly, though, you’ll find that luxury homes are large by any standards. You’ve got to have plenty of space for all those tennis courts, private cinemas, and dozens of bedrooms.
It’s not just the house itself that’s luxurious, but also the items that are contained within. If you were to drop yourself into the home of the uber wealthy (don’t try: security will stop you), you’d likely find a priceless work of art by a famous artist. Indeed, that work of art could be worth more than your home! You’ll find that many of the most expensive clocks from around the world are also found in luxury homes. After all, it’s not enough to just tell the time — you’ve got to tell the time in the most luxurious way possible.
Dedicated Fun Zones
The rich and famous don’t just like to sit around and count their money. Oh no! They also like having fun. And whereas the likes of you and us will head out into a public space when we want to have a good time, the other half have fun right on their own property. If you had plenty of space, then you’d probably think about installing a swimming pool, bowling alley, home cinema, or bar too (or what about all of them?). If we had that on our property, we don’t think we’d ever leave — and the lockdown would certainly have been a lot more fun!
That home cinema is the tip of an iceberg when it comes to home entertainment! Extra large televisions, sound systems, ridiculously oversized couches, and more — the wealthy know how to unwind after a long day of working hard and making money.
Finally, let’s think about the location. It’s all good and well having a beautiful house, but if it was in the middle of a dessert, then it probably wouldn’t be quite as luxurious. When we picture the world’s best homes, we think of excellent weather and a view and neighbourhood to die for.
