Frogleaf Eczema Skin Cream*

Frogleaf Very Dry Skin Cream

As a person with sensitive skin, I’m sometimes prone to flare-ups of irritation and dry skin, so I’m always on the lookout for soothing creams and solves which I can turn to in times of skin crises.

Frogleaf Very Dry Skin Cream 1

My latest find is Frogleaf’s Eczema Skin cream, a moisturiser which has been designed to be an anti-inflammatory for stressed skin. I love the herbal scent which comes courtesy of the organic ingredients which include Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Viola Herb and Organic Plant Oils, and the cream feels lovely and soothing to apply. To use it, I just apply it to inflamed areas, and let it get to work. Within an hour or so my skin feels calm, and any redness and irritation has been completely soothed.

Frogleaf Eczema Skin Cream is priced at £17.75 and is available here

Sisley Super Stick Solaire SPF30*

Sisley Super Stick Solaire Suncreen

For as far as I can remember, I’ve had pretty sensitive skin. On a day to day basis, it’s not a big deal, I just need to be careful with the products I use, but it gets a bit trickier in the summer when I need to introduce a sunscreen into my skincare regime. In the past I’ve not had the best experience with even the gentlest of sunscreens – I’ve had rashes, burning sensations and breakouts. Thankfully though, Sisley have come to the rescue with their incredible Super Stick Solaire SPF30.

Sisley Super Stick Solaire Suncreen 1

Since I know I can (and do) rely on Sisley for a tonne of my skincare needs (I adore their Botanical Restorative cream) I thought I would give their sunscreen a whirl. I can’t tell you how glad I am that I did! Sisley Super Stick Solaire comes in either tinted or colourless options, and since it was my first foray I opted for the latter. As if providing gentle protection wasn’t enough, the sunscreen’s formula contains Vitamin E to protects against free radicals and reinforces the skin’s natural defences whilst Camelia oil, Shea and Mango butters hydrate and nourish.

Sisley Super Stick Solaire Suncreen 2

Packaged in a chic and easy to use screw up tube, the Super Stick Solaire feels a little like an overgrown lip balm. To apply, I simply slick the formula over my cheekbones, nose and forehead and blend in. I love the soft texture of the sunscreen, and it disappears immediately – there is no ghostly white cast, and it doesn’t feel heavy or tacky to the touch. Instead it leaves my skin feeling soft, with a flattering matte finish. The stick applicator means that reapplying the sunscreen is a cinch, and I can easily pop it in my beach bag!

Sisley Super Stick Solaire SPF30 is also available in a tinted formula, and is priced at £69.50 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Gazelli Skincare White Oil Illuminating Perfecting Skin Polish*

Gazelli Triple Youth White Oil Illuminating Perfecting SKin Polish

After last week’s run-in with a rather too vigorous exfoliation treatment which left me looking red, raw, and rather sorry for myself, I’ve been really babying my skin. Nourishing cleansing balms and lashings of coconut oil have been precisely what my skin needed, but now that everything is back to normal, I’ve been itching to give myself a good scrub! I just think there is nothing fresher looking than skin that’s had a great exfoliation treatment.

Gazelli Triple Youth White Oil Illuminating Perfecting SKin Polish 1

Gazelli Skincare White Oil Illuminating Perfecting Skin Polish might just be one of my favourite exfoliators I’ve tried. The texture is perfect – a rich, almost lotion which is filled with an even grit that feels stimulating rather than too rough. I tend to use the Illuminating Perfecting Skin Polish about twice a week, usually after cleansing and it leaves skin feeling incredibly soft. It makes any dry skin completely vanish, and it’s a great choice if you’re looking to fade acne scarring. Gazelli Skincare also recommend that the Skin Polish can be used on gads for a gentle exfoliation treatment, so the next time I’m doing my nails, I’m definitely going to start with a dose of the polish!

Gazelli Skincare White Oil Illuminating Perfecting Skin Polish is priced at £35.00 and is available here.

July 2015 Glossybox*

Glossybox UK July 2015

This month’s Glossybox might just be the prettiest yet! From the gloriously illustrated box to the rather chic goodies tucked inside, Glossybox have completely hit it out of the box!

Glossybox UK July 2015 2

With gorgeous cartoons courtesy of fashion illustrator Jamie Lee Rardin, this month’s box focuses mainly on some great French skincare, with a great little lip balm popped in too!

Glossybox UK July 2015 4

I’ve never come across the brand Teoxane, so I was excited to try their Perfect Skin Refiner which contains mix of AHAs (10% glycolic acid) and hyaluronic acid for glowing skin. I’m currently waiting for my skin to fully heal after a rather unwelcome flare up, so once I’m good to go, I’ll definitely be giving this a try!

Glossybox UK July 2015 3

Noxidoxi is another brand I’m not familiar with, so it was lovely to get a good size tube of their Enhancing Serum Base. It promises to provide complete hydration, whilst tightening pores and providing protection from antioxidants and pollution, which is perfect for heading into the city. The Serum had a light formula which was easily absorbed into skin, so I’m looking forward to giving this a good try!

Glossybox UK July 2015 5

I absolutely adore Vichy skincare, so I was so happy to see an adorable mini glass jar of their incredible Thermal Light Cream. I love how nourishing and soothing it is, and I’m already nearly half way through it!

Glossybox UK July 2015 1

I love when beauty boxes include full size products, so Jelly Pong Pong’s tube of Lip Balm Delicieuse was a welcome addition! It’s quite a light formula for a balm, so it’s perfect if you don’t like sticky or goopy lip products, and it has a super sweet scent – delicieuse indeed!

Glossybox UK July 2015 6

As if all of the goodies weren’t enough, they came tucked inside this adorable little pouch which is adorned with a fab Jamie Lee Rardin illustration. It’s perfect for tucking inside your handbag, or if your traveling it’s great for popping your liquids in.

Glossybox is priced at £10 (+P&P) from www.glossybox.co.uk

MOA Green Balm*

MOA Green Balm 2

There is absolutely nothing better than having clear glowing skin, it means you don’t have to bother with too much makeup, and it just looks so healthy! Over the last week or so, my skin completely freaked out after trying out a couple of new products. I’ll leave out the gory details, but it wasn’t pretty, thankfully though MOA Green Balm came to my rescue!

MOA Green Balm 5

Packaged in a cardboard tube, complete with cleansing cloth and the most darling illustrations, is the little green jar. I just ove how special the whole package is, and it does really feel like a little luxurious ritual to use!

MOA Green Balm 1

When in the jar, the balm itself looks quite solid, but the heat from your fingers easily turns to an almost oily texture which feels lovely to massage into skin. It’s a real multitasker, as the balm helps with anti-ageing, eczema and dry skin. The ingredients consists of astringent and repairing yarrow to target blackheads, tone skin and prevent wrinkles, anti-bacterial tea tree oil to fight blemishes, coconut and almond oils to soothe and nourish, soy bean oil an anti-oxidant to restore and balance, and finally beeswax to help protect the skin from the elements without clogging pores. Genius!

MOA Green Balm

After I’ve massaged the balm into my skin for a minute or so, I wipe it away using one of MOA’s amazing bamboo cleansing cloths. I love how they are super soft, and each side has a different texture – super soft and almost fluffy, whilst the other side is smoother. To use them, I dip them in warm water, wring them out, lay over my face for a few seconds then wipe.

MOA Green Balm 4

They feel dreamy to use, and don’t leave a hint of makeup or balm behind, meaning my skin is ready for a little moisturiser then I’m good to go! As I mentioned before, I had been suffering from some really terrible breakouts that were both ugly to look and and incredibly sore. Within 2 uses of the balm, my skin was healing, the spots were shrinking and I didn’t have to worry about dry skin. The balm really is a miracle!

MOA Green Balm is priced at £12.50 and is available here
