Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Body Serum*

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum - Fez

When it comes to skincare, I can’t really remember not being interested in it. Before I was old enough to have my own, I dabbled nightly in whichever products my mother was using, as since I went away to school and university, I’ve pretty much guarded my ever-increasing stash with my life. Yet despite my rather pack-horse tendencies, I don’t think I’ve ever used a serum that’s not been designed for my face before. Thankfully though, Kahina Giving Beauty’s pretty much iconic Fez Body Serum has come to my rescue right in time for the increasingly cold weather!

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum - Fez 1

Packaged in Kahina Giving Beauty’s slick black packaging, the Body Serum is everything you could wish for in winter skincare! With a texture which verges on an oil (it was included in Vogue’s Top 10 Beauty Oils!), the serum feels like such a treat to use! I have been reaching for it after my nightly bath or shower, so that I can really enjoy the experience – the serum’s scent contains notes of  Rose and Orange Blossom along with hints of citrus and patchouli. The result is a wonderfully warm, almost smoky fragrance which feels incredibly luxurious and soothing to use.

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum - Fez 2

As if the to-die-for scent wasn’t enough, the formula of Kahina’s Body Serum packs a serious punch! With a high concentration of argan oil to help boost skin elasticity whilst watermelon, sunflower, olive and coconut oils deeply moisturise. It leaves skin feeling absolutely incredible – so soft and nourished, and I’m addicted to layering some on after an intense exfoliation session!

Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Body Serum is priced at £85 for 200ml and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Soveral Angel Balm*

Soveral Angel BalmNow that temperatures have taken a distinct downturn, I’ve been extra careful to use as many hydrating products I can think of, and my cleansing routine has been no different – rather than foaming cleansers which can be a little drying, every evening I’ve been turning to Soveral’s Angel Balm.

Soveral Angel Balm 1

Much like the other Soveral products I’ve tried, the packaging of the Angel  Balm is divine. A box covered in the most beautiful butterflies holds a little jar of the delicious balm, as well as the fluffiest of face cloths. It feels like an absolute gift to unwrap!

Soveral Angel Balm 3

I’ve been using the balm every evening, and I am absolutely in love with the soft texture which melts away even the most stubborn of makeup (even mascara and eye liner)! I can really see why The Times have called it a ‘hero’ product.

Soveral Angel Balm 2

It’s the brand’s most popular product, and I’m really not surprised! Ingredients in the balm include cocoa seed butter, grape seed oil, avocado oil, and geranium oil so it’s an absolute treat for skin. I tend to use it nightly, but I can also use it as something of a face mask, just leaving it on for around 20 minutes.

Soveral Angel Balm is priced from £19.00 and is available here

Kahina Giving Beauty FEZ Perfume Oil*

Kahina Giving BEauty Fez Perfume Oil

When the temperatures take a dip like they have this week, I basically just want to curl up into a ball and hibernate. Unfortunately though, life has a tendency of moving on, and I’ve always got a million and one things on my to do list. So, in an effort to feel as cozy as possible whilst I’m working away, I’ve turned to Kahina Giving Beauty’s Perfume Oil in Fez

Kahina Giving BEauty Fez Perfume Oil 1

From unwrapping the beautiful, almost tile-like packaging, to unscrewing the beautiful black glass bottle, Kahina Giving Beauty’s Fez Perfume Roller Ball feels like a study in luxury. Based on the much-loved scent of the brand’s rather iconic Body Serum, it’s a warming, almost spicy scent which feels like a custom-glen perfect for enjoying these wintery days.

Kahina Giving BEauty Fez Perfume Oil 2Thanks to a formula comprised of pure steam-distilled essential oils, the perfume has quite a rich consistency, which feels so glamorous to apply. Since the bottle is a roller ball, I’ve been applying the oil to my wrists, inner elbows and behind my knees, allowing my body heat to warm up the fragrance, and the result is just heavenly! With top notes of Jasmine and Orange Blossom, I knew I was going to love the exotic, almost spicy scent! As the fragrance warms up, the heart notes of Cumin and Clove give a richness, whilst the hints of earthy patchouli, vetiver and ylang-ylang really round out the fragrance. It’s such a perfectly warming fragrance, I’ve been reaching for it incredibly regularly on these awfully grey mornings, as it’s such a beautiful way to feel like I’m somewhere far more exotic than Edinburgh!

Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Perfume Oil is priced at £67.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel*

Lush Rose Jame Shower Gel

Since the weather has taken a serious turn for the worst, I’ve been spending my evenings hiding out in the bathroom, indulging my love for luxuriously long baths and showers. One of my new go-to products has been Lush’s iconic Rose Jam shower gel. It’s one of those products that people just rave about, so of course, I just had to try it!

Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel

Packaged Lush’s signature shower gel bottle, Rose Jam is part of Lush’s limited edition Winter Collection, and if you search for it online, you’ll see it’s got something of a cult following! The bright pink formula is just the most heavenly consistency – a rich gel which feels so special to use, and the scent is just divine! At first you get a huge whoosh of rose, it’s a big, bold floral, and then, as you lather up, the Sicilian Lemon Oil and Geranium Oil become more noticeable. It’s these notes which give the gel a fruitier edge.

Lush’s Rose Jam Shower Gel is priced at £4.95 for 100ml and is available here.

Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream*

Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream 1

Happy Halloween! Today has to be one of my favourite holidays – I’ve carved a ridiculous number of pumpkins, there are all sorts of decorations up, and I’ve made a whole host of pinterest-worthy recipes which look like everything from witches fingers to frogs! So, to keep today suitable spooky, I just had to get a hold of Lush’s gorgeous Lord of Misrule Shower Cream. A part of Lush’s autumn/halloween collection, it is just the most perfect product to use tonight!

Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream

A rich green formula, Lord of Misrule has been shot through with a pearl-like lustre which leaves skin with a lovely healthy looking sheen. The scent of the shower cream is super delicious too! A luxurious mix of patchouli, vanilla and black pepper oil, The Lord of Misrule is really something special! It smells quite similar to Thierry Mugler’s Angel, so if you love rich, heady scents, you really must try the shower cream out! I am absolutely in love with the rich lather and the way it delicately scents my skin for hours after I shower. The fact that it’s a shower cream, rather than a regular gel, means that it’s super moisturising for dried out winter skin. It’s such a glorious treat to enjoy!

Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream is priced from £4.95 and is available here

Yogandha Relax Body Oil*

Yogandha Relax Body Oil

For me, Sundays are all about relaxation. I like to get myself sorted for the week ahead – any work I have to do gets done, I spend a couple of hours at the gym, working out and enjoying the steam rooms and sauna, and when I get home I treat myself to the most luxurious of bubble baths, face packs and hair masks. It’s a nice way to end my week and prepare for the new one, and one of my newest additions to my relaxation ritual is Yogandha’s beautiful Relax Body Oil.

Yogandha Relax Body Oil 1

When I was at Harvey Nichols’ incredible yoga class (you can read about it here) I was lucky enough to meet with the founder of Yoganha Oils – the fabulous Sinead Duffy. Getting to chat to her about her love and passion for the brand was seriously inspiring – her enthusiasm was infectious, and I just loved the way she encouraged everyone to really tune into their bodies, and see what fragrance blend most appealed. For me, it was the Relax Oil, a blend of lavender and vetiver oils which are just heavenly.

Yogandha Relax Body Oil 3

Talking to Sinead was incredibly interesting, and the amount of effort she has put into Yogandha is truly admirable. Absolutely every element of the product has been carefully thought out – even the cardboard box the oils come in is an origami-esque work of art, designed by her neighbour, it’s glue free so it’s compostable too.

Yogandha Relax Body Oil 2

The Relax Body Oil really is just a delight to use. I tend to reach for it after my evening shower, as it feels so nourishing on the skin, and the mix of lavender and vetiver is just incredibly calming. To reap as much benefit from the scent as possible, I concentrate on applying it to my arms and chest, and it just sinks into skin, leaving skin moisturised and smelling divine. When I was talking to Sinead, she told me all about how her oils are all natural, so the beneficial properties of the oils are absorbed into the skin, so it does your body real good!

Yogandha Body Oils are priced at £25.00 and they are available from Harvey Nichols

This Works Sleep Plus+ Pillow Spray*

This Works Sleep + Deep Sleep Pillow Spray

For me, my bed is absolute heaven. I’m kind of obsessed with bedding (my choice is white Frette for the most luxurious sleep of your life!) and I could quite happily spend a weekend snuggled under the covers. Despite my enthusiasm for my bedroom however, whenever I’m busy or stressed I can find it hard to get to sleep, then I tend to wake up during the night. It’s not ideal, especially when I tend to have busy mornings, so I’ve been relying on This Works’ Deep Sleep range for the past couple of years to help me get a great nights’ sleep completely naturally.

This Works Sleep + Deep Sleep Pillow Spray 1

So, when I found out that This Works had released a Sleep Plus+ range, I couldn’t wait to try it out! Rather than the original Deep Sleep range, which aims to help you drift off quickly, Sleep Plus+ promises an extra two hours of sleep, and who would say no to that?!

This Works Sleep + Deep Sleep Pillow Spray 3

I was very kindly sent the large bottle of the pillow spray, and I’m so glad, because I’ve become completely addicted to the stuff! To use, all you have to do is lightly mist your pillowcases and then snuggle in for the night. I just love the scent of the pillow spray – it’s a woody, lavender mix which just smells so luxurious. Since I change my sheets nightly, I just spray a little every night before I get into bed, pop on some chilled out music and relax.

This Works Sleep + Deep Sleep Pillow Spray 3

I cannot tell you how quickly I fall asleep when I’m using the Sleep Plus+ spray. Normally it takes me anywhere from an hour or two to drop off, but with This Works’ help, I’m out for the count in 10-15 minutes. But what makes the new spray even more special is the way it keeps you asleep – lavender is naturally encapsulated within the formula, so that the scent is gradually released throughout the night, keeping you in a naturally deep sleep. When I wake up in the morning I feel like I’ve spent the night in a swish hotel as I just get such a great sleep thanks to the spray!

This Works Sleep Plus+ Pillow Spray is priced from £25.00 and is available here

Harvey Nichols Edinburgh Sunset Yoga with Lululemon and Yogandha Oils*

Harvey Nichols Yoga Event 1

I don’t think Mondays are anyone’s favourite day of the week, but last night Harvey Nichols Edinburgh made it my favourite day of the week with a special Sunset Yoga lesson which was hosted by Lululemon and Yogandha Oils.

Harvey Nichols Yoga Event 2

I’m by no means a yogi, but it’s something that I’ve been wanting to try out, so the opportunity to give it a go in undoubtedly the most glamorous ‘studio’ in Edinburgh was too good to resist! Not only was the evening a chance to enjoy a relaxing session led by Lululemon’s Demelza, but also to meet Sinead the wonderful founder of Yogandha Oils  as well as getting to play with some of her incredible products.

Harvey Nichols Yoga Event 3

After swatching a number of Yogandha’s gorgeous oils, we got started with the yoga class. To make room for everyone, Harvey Nichols had shut down the entire restaurant and brasserie, meaning that instead of looking into regular studio mirrors, we got to look at the sun set over Edinburgh. Stunning doesn’t even begin to describe it!

Harvey Nichols Yoga Event 4

As we transitioned between downward facing dogs and warrior poses, the sky became dark, and Edinburgh Castle lit up. It was a completely magical backdrop to Demelza’s wonderful class which she had designed to promote relaxation and wellness.

Harvey Nichols Yoga Event 6

Taking an hour to really stretch out, relax and concentrate on something as simple as breathing was really wonderful. I definitely felt the benefits, and the fact that we got to keep our amazing Lululemon mats was so incredibly kind! I’ve already laid mine out in the study and loaded up some youtube videos so I can practice at home.

Harvey Nichols Yoga Event

After the yoga session, we got the chance to listen to Sinead Duffy, who isn’t just the mastermind behind Yogandha, but has also taught yoga for 10 years. Listening to her describe how to use aromatherapy to benefit both body and mind was truly inspiring, and her enthusiasm was completely infectious!

Yogandha Oils 1

As everyone passed round the oil rollerballs, we got to try all three blends – Grounded, Uplifted and Balanced as well as the beautiful Body Oils. Very kindly, Sinead gave me a bottle of the Relax Body Oil, so I can’t wait to give it a really good go, and of course, I’ll post a review of it so you can see it for yourself!

Yogandha Oils

Once we had finished sampling the oils, there was a selection of fruit teas and fresh juices to help us rehydrate – and pro tip – if you’re visiting the Forth Floor, check out the Pret a Porter mocktail, it’s delicious! The whole evening was such a great experience, and it really felt like it was something really special! Everyone I chatted to absolutely loved it, and I think a lot of people are hoping it becomes a regular calendar fixture!

Edinburgh Castle at Night

Thank you so much to Harvey Nichols Edinburgh, Lululemon and Yogandha Oils for last night. I had such a wonderful time, and I can’t wait to try out my new mat and oil!

Soveral Nourishing Oil*

Soveral Nourishing Oil 1

We might be slap bang in the middle of Sweater Weather, but I’m determined not to let my skin get forgotten about under layers of cashmere or merino, no mater how chilly the weather gets. One of the most spa-like ways I’ve been babying my skin, is with Soveral’s gorgeous new Nourishing Oil.

Soveral Nourishing Oil

Packaged in a super chic, dinky little pump-top bottle, the Nourishing Oil doesn’t only loos good, but it’s an absolute dream to apply! I only need a pump per arm, and I’m obsessed with the scent. The formulation of the oil feels like it works magic – Pumpkin Seed and Castor Oil are ultra nourishing whilst the aromatherapy properties of Roman Chamomile and French Lavender feel incredibly calming and restorative. I’ve been using the Nourishing Oil every evening, and it’s such a lovely treat to use – and I’m sure that the scent has been helping get to sleep every night. It feels like a little spa visit every evening, and my skin has never felt better!

Soveral Nourishing Oil is priced at £40.00 and is available here.

Odylique Balm Ultra Riche*

Odylique Baume Ultra Riche

I’ve mentioned before that my skin can err on the dry side, and since we’re moving into chillier temperatures, I’m being super vigilant about keeping everything as soft and hydrated as possible. Thankfully, my new find – Odylique’s Balm Ultra Riche is the answer to literally every dry skin problem you can think of!

Odylique Baume Ultra Riche 1

Packaged in a super simple white, screw top jar, the Balm Ultra Riche promises to provide intense hydration for very dry skin and skin which is prone to eczema. Since mine tends to fall into the former category I was more than a little intrigued!

Odylique Baume Ultra Riche 2

When I first caught sight of the balm, I thought it was going to be one of those ones hard, waxy ones that you have to heat up in your hands before applying, but I was completely wrong! Instead, the Balm Ultra Riche is super soft, and just melts into your fingertips.

Odylique Baume Ultra Riche 3

Thanks to the soft texture of the balm, I’ve been using it absolutely everywhere! The formula is packed full of raw shea, coconut and extra virgin olive oils to provide maximum hydration, along with sea buckthorn and beeswax to hydrate and nourish skin. I tend to reach for the Balm Ultra Riche at night since the formula is quite thick, and I use it on everything – my feet and ankles, knees, hands, elbows, and even pop a little of it onto any dry skin on my face. Since the formula is all natural and organic, I don’t need to worry about my skin reacting to it, instead I just get to wake up feeling silky soft!

Odylique’s Balm Ultra Riche is priced at £19.00 and is available here

Neom De Stress on the go 1

Neom’s Intensive Energy Boosting Treatment is packaged as a little glass rollerball, and it’s perfect if, like me, you start to lag a bit as the day goes on. I usually combat the mixture of fatigue and low blood sugar with a rather large coffee, but since this vial popped through my letterbox, I’ve been steering clear of the ‘bux, instead just rolling the treatment over my pulse points and give it a good sniff.

Neom De Stress On the Go 2

The formula of the the Energy Boosting Treatment feels like a light oil to apply, and it smells incredible. This is due to the inclusion of 17 essential oils, including Grapefruit, Lemon and Rosemary Oils, all three of which are renown for their invigorating qualities.

Neom De Stress On the Go 2

Neom have really succeeded in creating something special in their Intensive Energy Boosting Treatment – not only does it smell divine, but it really works to give you a bit of a boost.
