Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Body Serum*

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum - Fez

When it comes to skincare, I can’t really remember not being interested in it. Before I was old enough to have my own, I dabbled nightly in whichever products my mother was using, as since I went away to school and university, I’ve pretty much guarded my ever-increasing stash with my life. Yet despite my rather pack-horse tendencies, I don’t think I’ve ever used a serum that’s not been designed for my face before. Thankfully though, Kahina Giving Beauty’s pretty much iconic Fez Body Serum has come to my rescue right in time for the increasingly cold weather!

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum - Fez 1

Packaged in Kahina Giving Beauty’s slick black packaging, the Body Serum is everything you could wish for in winter skincare! With a texture which verges on an oil (it was included in Vogue’s Top 10 Beauty Oils!), the serum feels like such a treat to use! I have been reaching for it after my nightly bath or shower, so that I can really enjoy the experience – the serum’s scent contains notes of  Rose and Orange Blossom along with hints of citrus and patchouli. The result is a wonderfully warm, almost smoky fragrance which feels incredibly luxurious and soothing to use.

As if the to-die-for scent wasn’t enough, the formula of Kahina’s Body Serum packs a serious punch! With a high concentration of argan oil to help boost skin elasticity whilst watermelon, sunflower, olive and coconut oils deeply moisturise. It leaves skin feeling absolutely incredible – so soft and nourished, and I’m addicted to layering some on after an intense exfoliation session!

Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Body Serum is priced at £85 for 200ml and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Soveral Angel Balm*

Soveral Angel BalmNow that temperatures have taken a distinct downturn, I’ve been extra careful to use as many hydrating products I can think of, and my cleansing routine has been no different – rather than foaming cleansers which can be a little drying, every evening I’ve been turning to Soveral’s Angel Balm.

Soveral Angel Balm 1

Much like the other Soveral products I’ve tried, the packaging of the Angel  Balm is divine. A box covered in the most beautiful butterflies holds a little jar of the delicious balm, as well as the fluffiest of face cloths. It feels like an absolute gift to unwrap!

Soveral Angel Balm 3

I’ve been using the balm every evening, and I am absolutely in love with the soft texture which melts away even the most stubborn of makeup (even mascara and eye liner)! I can really see why The Times have called it a ‘hero’ product.

Soveral Angel Balm 2

It’s the brand’s most popular product, and I’m really not surprised! Ingredients in the balm include cocoa seed butter, grape seed oil, avocado oil, and geranium oil so it’s an absolute treat for skin. I tend to use it nightly, but I can also use it as something of a face mask, just leaving it on for around 20 minutes.

Soveral Angel Balm is priced from £19.00 and is available here

Kahina Giving Beauty FEZ Perfume Oil*

Kahina Giving BEauty Fez Perfume Oil

When the temperatures take a dip like they have this week, I basically just want to curl up into a ball and hibernate. Unfortunately though, life has a tendency of moving on, and I’ve always got a million and one things on my to do list. So, in an effort to feel as cozy as possible whilst I’m working away, I’ve turned to Kahina Giving Beauty’s Perfume Oil in Fez

Kahina Giving BEauty Fez Perfume Oil 1

From unwrapping the beautiful, almost tile-like packaging, to unscrewing the beautiful black glass bottle, Kahina Giving Beauty’s Fez Perfume Roller Ball feels like a study in luxury. Based on the much-loved scent of the brand’s rather iconic Body Serum, it’s a warming, almost spicy scent which feels like a custom-glen perfect for enjoying these wintery days.

Kahina Giving BEauty Fez Perfume Oil 2Thanks to a formula comprised of pure steam-distilled essential oils, the perfume has quite a rich consistency, which feels so glamorous to apply. Since the bottle is a roller ball, I’ve been applying the oil to my wrists, inner elbows and behind my knees, allowing my body heat to warm up the fragrance, and the result is just heavenly! With top notes of Jasmine and Orange Blossom, I knew I was going to love the exotic, almost spicy scent! As the fragrance warms up, the heart notes of Cumin and Clove give a richness, whilst the hints of earthy patchouli, vetiver and ylang-ylang really round out the fragrance. It’s such a perfectly warming fragrance, I’ve been reaching for it incredibly regularly on these awfully grey mornings, as it’s such a beautiful way to feel like I’m somewhere far more exotic than Edinburgh!

Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Perfume Oil is priced at £67.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel*

Lush Rose Jame Shower Gel

Since the weather has taken a serious turn for the worst, I’ve been spending my evenings hiding out in the bathroom, indulging my love for luxuriously long baths and showers. One of my new go-to products has been Lush’s iconic Rose Jam shower gel. It’s one of those products that people just rave about, so of course, I just had to try it!

Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel

Packaged Lush’s signature shower gel bottle, Rose Jam is part of Lush’s limited edition Winter Collection, and if you search for it online, you’ll see it’s got something of a cult following! The bright pink formula is just the most heavenly consistency – a rich gel which feels so special to use, and the scent is just divine! At first you get a huge whoosh of rose, it’s a big, bold floral, and then, as you lather up, the Sicilian Lemon Oil and Geranium Oil become more noticeable. It’s these notes which give the gel a fruitier edge.

Lush’s Rose Jam Shower Gel is priced at £4.95 for 100ml and is available here.

Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream*

Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream 1

Happy Halloween! Today has to be one of my favourite holidays – I’ve carved a ridiculous number of pumpkins, there are all sorts of decorations up, and I’ve made a whole host of pinterest-worthy recipes which look like everything from witches fingers to frogs! So, to keep today suitable spooky, I just had to get a hold of Lush’s gorgeous Lord of Misrule Shower Cream. A part of Lush’s autumn/halloween collection, it is just the most perfect product to use tonight!

Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream

A rich green formula, Lord of Misrule has been shot through with a pearl-like lustre which leaves skin with a lovely healthy looking sheen. The scent of the shower cream is super delicious too! A luxurious mix of patchouli, vanilla and black pepper oil, The Lord of Misrule is really something special! It smells quite similar to Thierry Mugler’s Angel, so if you love rich, heady scents, you really must try the shower cream out! I am absolutely in love with the rich lather and the way it delicately scents my skin for hours after I shower. The fact that it’s a shower cream, rather than a regular gel, means that it’s super moisturising for dried out winter skin. It’s such a glorious treat to enjoy!

Lush Lord of Misrule Shower Cream is priced from £4.95 and is available here
