If you’re planning on travelling soon, or if you don’t like hoarding a million and one bottles of product in the shower, you need to get down to Lush and grab a few of their Rub Rub Rub Body Scrub Bars. They’ve quickly become something of a cult item in my house, and they are seriously oh-my-god amazing!
First off, I’m obsessed with the fact they they come in dinky little package-free squares which you can just pop into your suitcase or shower depending on where you are! Since I’m manically trying to get my skin summer-ready I went hard-core and brushed the bar upwards on dry skin. It’s surprisingly gentle on skin for something that’s such a great exfoliant, and I love the fact that it feels like it’s nourishing the skin as well as sloughing it off. The feel is down to the mix of sea salt to buff and Cupuacu Butter which are all natural, and are formulated to leave skin feeling incredibly soft.
I’m also absolutely in love with the scent of the Rub Rub Rub body scrub. Lush have included a mix of Jasmine and Orange Flower for their uplifting qualities. It smells amazing, clean, and almost baby powder like, and it has to be the easiest way to exfoliate I’ve come across!
Lush’s Rub Rub Rub Body Scrub is priced at £5.95 and is available here.
I think one of my favourite places in my house to spend time is in the bathroom. I adore taking lot, hot baths which let me unwind and catch up on reading. I love to light a couple of candles, pop on some music and just relax. My newest bath time product is Monu’s Papaya Bath Salts.
Unlike most of my bath products, Monu’s bath salts are papaya scented, so I feel like I’m having a rather exotic break whenever I take a bath using them! To use, I just run a bath as normal, and then add a couple of spoonfuls of of the salts.
I’ve become a bit of a bath salt addict, as I feel like they’re gentler on my skin than some foamy options, and they make the bath water smell amazing! The bath salts themselves are quite a gentle grain, so you can even mix them with a little body oil to create a gorgeously fragrant scrub!
As well as smelling amazing, Monu’s Papaya Bath Salts are awesome for your skin – the formula contains Lactic Acid and Papaya Extract to stimulate, as well as Calming Linseed Extracts to moisturise. I love how soft my skin feels after I’ve used the scrub, and the scent is just heavenly!
Monu Papaya Bath Salts are priced at £14.95 and are available here
Whenever I’m a bit tense/stressed or even just busy, I can find it super hard to get to sleep. My mind just seems to race, and nothing I can do really lets me get some rest. That is, until I found out about the magic which is bathing salts.
Westlab’s Pure Mineral Bathing Himalayan Salt is absolutely perfect if you’re in need for a bit of a pamper session. The salts are also an amazing way to treat sore and tired muscles if you’ve been really going for it in the gym. The pink crystals were formed millions of years ago before any modern day pollution, which results in an extremely pure natural salt. Himalayan salt contains an impressive 84 minerals including magnesium, calcium and potassium, meaning they are a complete powerhouse to use.
I’ve found that the Himalayan Salts work best for me, when I run a rather hot bath, and add a cup or two of them to running water. They don’t bubble or feel scented, but they give bathwater a feeling of softness which you can just sink into. I love to burn a couple of candles, settle in with a good book, and let the salts really work their magic. Once I’m out of the bath, I can barely float into bed, and I always get the best night’s sleep. I’m talking hotel-grade blackout which feels so restorative and calming!
Westlab Pure Mineral Bathing Himalayan Salt is priced at £9.99 and is available here
