Paul & Joe Moisturising Foundation Primer – 1*

When I say that I’ve been dying to try out the Paul & Joe beauty line for years, I’m not exaggerating in the slightest. I absolutely love the clothing line, and the beauty has always just looked so pretty and glamorous – it’s exactly what you want to use every morning! When the Moisturising Foundation Primer arrived, I got super excited – I’ve developed quite the thing for primers recently, so I knew I was going to love one which promised hydration and radiance!

Before I even get started on the primer, I have to address the packaging! Like all of Paul and Joe Beauty, some serious thought has been put into the looks! The bottle itself is glass,  decorated with embossed flowers, and has a pump dispenser. It looks like a dream, and it’s so pretty to leave out on my dressing table. Since it’s a pump, the formula stays hygienic, and it’s really easy to control how much you’re using.

I’ve been testing it out for a few days, and I have to say – it’s really impressed me. I only need a single pump of primer to cover my face and neck, and I love the lightweight formula. It disappears into my skin, and leaves a soft radiance which makes foundation look completely natural. It also regulates my skin, meaning I don’t feel dried out and parched by midday. Instead, my makeup stays in place without the need for touchups all day. There are three shades of the primer to choose from – all are pretty light, but give different amounts of lustre and brightness for skin. On days when I’m just running casual errands, I’ve just been smoothing a pump of the primer into moisturised skin instead of using a tinted moisturiser – it evens out skin and gives a healthy glow without looking or feeling heavy.

Paul and Joe Moisturising Foundation Primer is priced at £24.00 and is available here.

Kiko Cosmetics Sunproof BB Cream*

Kiko Sunproof BB Cream

For their Summer 2015 collection, Kiko Cosmetics have gone all out with the theme of Modern Tribes. It’s a really stunning collection, and it will definitely put you in the mood to jet off somewhere exotic.

Kiko Sunproof BB Cream Light Swatch

I got to try out the Kiko Cosmetics Sunproof BB Cream, which is described as being both a skin treatment as well as make up. The formula promises to even out your complexion whilst also providing SPF 30 sun protection. It’s a great option if you know you’re going to be out and about in the sun, but don’t want to lug extra bottles of protection around with you. I tried Shade 02 Light, which is the second lightest out of a possible 4 shades, and although it was a little dark for me at the moment, once I get a bit of a tan, it should be perfect!

The texture of the BB Cream was silky smooth to apply, and actually provided a bit more coverage than I was expecting! I would say it’s maybe a step down from foundation, so if you’re looking to lighten up your routine for summer, you should definitely check Kiko’s offering out! The BB Cream also lasted well throughout the day, only needing a bit of a touchup when I was headed out for the evening.

Kiko Cosmetics Sunproof BB Cream is priced at £8.90 and is available here.
