Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil*

Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength Bath Oil

I’m sure I’ve said before, that I’ve reserved Sunday evenings for a bit of a pamper, for as long as I can remember. It gives me a chance to relax, as well as to prepare for the week ahead.

As I let various face masks and potions get to work, I like to pour a bath, light a candle and play some music. It feels like a little escape from real life for an hour or two, and it’s nice just to turn off my phone and get caught up in a good book. Not to mention my skin seriously benefits from all the extra care and attention I can pay to it.

One of my newest, and most indulgent additions to my routine has been Aromatherapy Associates’ gorgeous Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil. Packaged in an absolutely gorgeous glass bottle – I love the screw cap and brushed finish, it looks so pretty in my bathroom, so paired back and elegant!

The Inner Strength scent feels like it was made specially for my Sunday evenings! The scent is a perfectly balanced mix of powerful of Clary Sage, Frankincense and Cardamom which are specially designed to balance your emotions and stimulate the circulation. I love how chilled I feel after a good soak, and I feel like my head is in a great place for starting the week.

To use the Inner Strength Bath & Shower Oil, it couldn’t be easier, I simply run a bath and add a capful (or two) of the oil, then swirl. Since Aromatherapy Associates use such pure essential oils in their products, you do really need just a capful for a full bath. I just love how it scents the entire bathroom with the spa-worthy fragrance!

Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength is priced at £45 and is available here (UK) and here (US).

The Perfume Society Scent with Love Box*

I’m such a lover of beauty boxes – I love how pretty they are, the little surprises you find inside, and the amazing brands you discover. The Perfume Society is perfect if you’re looking to mix up your scent wardrobe, or if you’re after a new fragrance for spring.

Right in time for Valentine’s Day, the Scent with Love box is filled with spring and summer ready perfumes, as well as a couple of little beauty treats to make sure you’re looking and smelling great for this most romantic of weekends.

The box contains a great cross-section of perfumes to try – they run the gamut from mainstream to artisan brands, from iconic much loveds to brand new. I was so happy to see Narciso Rodriguez’s For Her, which I’ve been dying to try (notes of rose and peach mix with amber, musks and sandalwood), as well as the brand new Fresh by Moschino (madarin, bergamot and ylang ylang top notes mingle with white woods and peony).

The dinky vial of Aurelia’s Body Oil smells absolutely divine, and the Time Bomb hand cream is the perfect size for slipping into my handbag.

I’m such a fan of the Perfume Society boxes! They always have the perfect mix of fragrances tucked inside their boxes, and I always find a couple of new favourites!

If you want to get your hands on your own Scent with Love box, it’s £17.50 for non Perfume Society Members, and £12.50 for members. You can find it here.

Gift Guide: Nuxe Cracker*

Nuxe Cracker

Without resorting into carols, it’s beginning to look an awful a lot like Christmas, and I’m rather happy about it. Who wouldn’t be when an absolute gift like Nuxe’s adorable cracker popped through the door?!

Nuxe Cracker contents

So it might not have a bad joke or a crown, but the cracked is stuffed full with four of Nuxe’s best loved products:

  • Eau Démaquillante Micellaire Micellar Cleansing Water Mini 35ml
  • Crème Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturizing Cream Mini 15ml
  • Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil Mini 10ml
  • Reve de Miel Creme Mains et Ongles Hand and Nail Cream Mini 15ml

It’s a perfect way to treat a beauty-mad loved one, or, of course, yourself!

Nuxe cracker rose micellaire water

I’ve loved the Eau Démaquillante Micellaire Micellar Cleansing Water for a good few years as it’s an amazing, yet still gentle cleansing Micellar water. After cleansing with either a balm or foaming cleanser, I soak a cotton pad in the formula then gently sweep over my skin. It feels so calming to use, and it doesn’t dry out or irritate my sensitive skin.

Nuxe Cracker reve de miel hand and nail cream

Since my hands are consistently dry and in need of some loving at this time of year, no matter how hard I try, I was so glad to get a tube of the Reve de Miel Creme Mains et Ongles Hand and Nail Cream. It’s a lovely rich, quite heavily scented cream which feels super nourishing to use. This has been popped into my handbag for much needed use throughout the day.

Nuxe Cracker Creme Prodigieuse

Another of Nuxe’s products I’ve relied on for a while is the Crème Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturizing Cream. It’s a great choice on days where I feel my skin is a little oiler than normal, as it has a mattifying effect which leaves skin looking soft and glowy without heading into the shiny territory.

Nuxe Cracker huile prodigieuse

Last up is probably Nuxe’s best known and loved products – their Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil. It’s a multi-use product which delivers a blast of moisture to face, body and even hair! I love the dry texture of the oil, as it sinks into skin super quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy residue.

The cracker is such a great way to fall in love with some of Nuxe’s best products, and I can’t imagine anyone who would love waking up to one of these on Christmas morning!

Nuxe Christmas Cracker is priced at £10.00 and is available here

Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Body Serum*

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum - Fez

When it comes to skincare, I can’t really remember not being interested in it. Before I was old enough to have my own, I dabbled nightly in whichever products my mother was using, as since I went away to school and university, I’ve pretty much guarded my ever-increasing stash with my life. Yet despite my rather pack-horse tendencies, I don’t think I’ve ever used a serum that’s not been designed for my face before. Thankfully though, Kahina Giving Beauty’s pretty much iconic Fez Body Serum has come to my rescue right in time for the increasingly cold weather!

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum - Fez 1

Packaged in Kahina Giving Beauty’s slick black packaging, the Body Serum is everything you could wish for in winter skincare! With a texture which verges on an oil (it was included in Vogue’s Top 10 Beauty Oils!), the serum feels like such a treat to use! I have been reaching for it after my nightly bath or shower, so that I can really enjoy the experience – the serum’s scent contains notes of  Rose and Orange Blossom along with hints of citrus and patchouli. The result is a wonderfully warm, almost smoky fragrance which feels incredibly luxurious and soothing to use.

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum - Fez 2

As if the to-die-for scent wasn’t enough, the formula of Kahina’s Body Serum packs a serious punch! With a high concentration of argan oil to help boost skin elasticity whilst watermelon, sunflower, olive and coconut oils deeply moisturise. It leaves skin feeling absolutely incredible – so soft and nourished, and I’m addicted to layering some on after an intense exfoliation session!

Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Body Serum is priced at £85 for 200ml and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Aurelia Probiotic Firm & Revitalise Dry Body Oil*

Aurelia Probiotic Firm & Revitalise Body Oil

When this little tester bottle of Aurelia Probiotic popped through the letter box I was rather intrigued. I’ve only used facial products from the brand, and I was rather excited to give their body products a good go! The Firm & Revitalise Dry Body Oil promises to firm and deeply hydrate parched skin, and since we’re moving into summer, who doesn’t want that?

I’ve been using the oil after exfoliating in the shower. It has the same scent as Aurelia’s Probiotic Face Balm, so it basically smells heavenly! Neroli, Lavender, Rose and Mandarin oils create the most beautiful fragrance which I just want to bathe in! The formula of the Firm & Revitalise Oil is perfect for daily use too! The base of Kalahari oil means it feels incredibly lightweight, whilst Mongongo oil offers high levels of Vitamin E and Kukui oil helps hydrate and repair skin. I love the way the oil leaves my skin feeling super soft, and it even leaves a bit of a glow!

Aurelia Probiotic Firm & Revitalise Dry Body Oil costs £48.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US).
