Clarins Gentle Peeling Smooth Away Cream*

Since Sunday evenings are my at-home spa nights, I thought a Monday morning would be the perfect time to share my newest skincare addition – Clarins’ Gentle Peeling Smooth Away Cream. Something of a mouthful of a title, but oh my, what a game changer!

I should probably start this review with something of a disclaimer – even though I have, what at times, feels like the world’s most sensitive skin, I’m an avid exfoliator user. I’m not quite sure why, but if a cleanser has a grainy particle or two, I’m pretty much guaranteed to love it. Clarins’ Gentle Peeling Cream, is however, completely different.

Rather than my usual scrubs which have rough and grainy textures, the Peeling Cream feels ridiculously rich, and creamy thanks to the natural clay in the formula, and it’s also got the prettiest sheen. To apply, I apply a thick-ish layer to freshly cleansed skin and leave on for a few minutes. The formula itself doesn’t completely dry, and instead of removing it with a clean flannel, like I normally would, I sweep my fingers upwards, rolling the formula off. It’s a slightly odd sensation, and completely different from anything I’m used to, but oh my! The Gentle Peeling leaves skin ridiculously soft – honestly, it’s like nothing I’ve ever felt before! Not only does my face feel incredible after using the cream, but it’s not red or irritated like it usually is after an exfoliation. Instead, it’s so, so soft, smooth and ready to go. I’m in love!

Clarins’ Gentle Peeling Smooth Away Cream is priced at £26.00 and is available here

Clarins Eau Dynamisante*

Clarins Eau Dynamisante

When it comes to choosing scents, my top priority is always smelling fresh. I love feeling like I’ve just stepped out of the shower, so normally that means that I choose citrus notes for day-to-day wear. Most recently I’ve fallen even further in love with Clarins’ iconic Eau Dynamisante – it’s one of those fragrances which just smells so classic, I’ve been wearing it daily for the past few weeks.

Clarins Eau Dynamisant Review

Packaged in a red jewel of a bottle, Clarins first released Eau Dynamisante back in 1987, but it feels like such a fresh and classic fragrance to wear! I first start off with the Eau Dynamisante shower gel (review to come!) and it’s the perfect morning pick me up, then, once I’m out of the shower, I use a few squirts of the spray. Unlike a lot of scents, Eau Dynamisante won’t dry out or irritate your skin. Instead, it moisturises, firms and tones skin thanks to the essential oils of Lemon, Patchouli, Petit Grain, Ginseng and White Tea in the formula. When first applied, Eau Dynamisante is incredibly fresh and citrusy, and as the fragrance dries down, more herbal and woody notes become more noticeable. I love the freshness of the scent, and it sticks around for hours!

Clarins Eau Dynamisante is priced at £39.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US).
