Ishga Rejuvenating Eye Balm*

Considering I’ve been pretty much obsessed with skincare since I could walk, it’s probably no surprise that I’ve tried a few eye creams in my time. By the time I was about 14 I slathered the stuff on nightly (much to my mother’s amusement) and I’ve kept up my routine ever since. Recently though, I’ve started to apply eye cream in the mornings, a little massaged in prior to foundation and concealer leaves my skin hydrated all day, and it keeps my makeup in place too!

My current favourite for day use is Ishga’s Rejuvenating Eye Balm. The Scottish skincare brand, which uses Hebridean seaweed as the basis of all of their products, is so gentle on delicate skin, and I have just fallen in love with their products! The Rejuvenating Eye Balm is a new release for Ishga, and it’s perfect if you’re in need of a little hydration! I use a single pump of the formula, and massage it into my under eye area. Then, I’m good to go – I apply my makeup as normal, and I can’t even tell you how smoothly it applies! Even well into the afternoon, when I normally require a bit of a touch up to  feel human, but after using Ishga, my eye make up still looks freshly applied.

Ishga’s Rejuvenating Eye Balm will be released soon!

Lancome Energie de Vie Nuit*

Lancome Energie de view nuit 1

I’m so excited to share some real newness from Lancome – they have just released their brand new Energie de Vie line, and I’m pleased to say, I’ve been trying out two of their products, andI’m obsessed! The first product I thought I would share is the Le Masque Nuit, which is perfect if you’re a dry skin girl like me.

Lancome Energie de vie nuit

Packaged in the most gorgeous vibrant green jar, the Le Masque Nuit is a product which has been taking Far Eastern Beauty by storm. The idea is that you cleanse as normal, then apply a little of the Le Masque Nuit. Sleeping in the masque gives it hours and hours to get to work; hydrating, healing and nourishing skin, and you wake up with skin that looks and feels amazing!

As someone who has pretty dry skin, when I felt the texture, I wasn’t sure it was really going to be nourish enough for me, happily though, I was seriously wrong! The Le Masque Nuit has a super light, almost gel-like texture that just melts into skin. The texture is meant to cool and calm skin, whilst it gets to work, and you wake up looking and feeling so well rested and calmed!

I just adore the light, refreshing scent, and it’s become a real nightstand staple! I tend to use it three to four times a week – or just whenever my skin is feeling a little blah or stressed. I also really like the fact this isn’t an age-targeted range, all skin types can benefit from the line, and when I’ve passed it around my friends to see what  they think, they’ve all fallen in love too!

Lancome Energie de Vie Le Mask de Nuit is priced at £42.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Nighttime Miracle Moisturiser

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Night Moisturizer

As someone who suffers from chronically dry skin year round, I’m always on the lookout for a cream which will hydrate and soothe without weighing down my sensitive skin. I’ve long been a fan of Elizabeth Arden’s iconic Eight Hour Cream, and haven’t been without a tube of the stuff for the past ten or so years, so, when I went to grab a new tube for my bedside drawer I caught a glimpse of their new Nighttime Miracle Moisturizer.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Night Miracle Moisturizer

Packaged in a dinky little screw-top jar, the Nighttime Miracle Moisturizer looks like the original cream, just  little more whipped. Even though Elizabeth Arden claim that it has a lavender scent, the fragrance is super subtle and shouldn’t irritate sensitive skin. After going through my evening cleansing routine, I take a little of the Nighttime Miracle Moisturizer in my fingertips, and apply to my driest areas.

It’s not quite as thick and sticky as the original Eight Hour Cream, and even though the formula is quite thick and rich, it feels much balmier. What’s the most surprising thing about the Miracle Moisturizer is how quickly skin drinks it up. Within 10-15 minutes of applying it has completely sunk in, and my face feels calmed and nourished. This means you also don’t have to worry about staining bedding or waking up greasy-faced! Instead, as you sleep, it gets to work soothing and moisturising your skin, and you wakeup looking and feeling good to go!

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Miracle Moisturizer is priced at £32.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream

Liz Earle Super Skin Eye Cream

I’ve had something of a fascination with eye creams for pretty much as long as I can remember. There was always something so ‘grown up’ about smearing lotions and potions around my eyes, and I’ve been wearing a little every night since I was about 15 or 16. Extreme? Probably, but I figure it’s been a pretty good routine to get into, and my skin certainly isn’t complaining!

Liz Earle Super Skin Eye Cream 1

My latest find is Liz Earle’s newest release – Superskin Eye Cream, a rich formula which feels nourishing and cooling to apply. The cream has a beautifully rich consistency, so it’s perfect or dry and older skin types which need a real hit of moisture, and despite the thicker texture it never feels heavy on the skin. I’ve been patting on a little every night, applying it with my ring finger to freshly cleansed skin along with a little oil. Liz Earle have included rosehip, borage and cranberry seed oils in the blend to really nourish the skin, whilst Paracress extract lifts and firms skin and Pomegranate fruit and green tea extracts work to diminish dark circles. If, like me, you have seriously early mornings, and you don’t want to look like it, just pop a little of the Superskin Eye Cream on the night before, and no one needs to know!

Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream is priced at £35.00 and is available here.

Fabulift Eye Lifting Serum*

DSC_1085

Mondays are never easy, so every Sunday night I try to prepare as much as possible. I get my clothes laid out for the following day, pack my handbag, give myself a face pack, and basically just try to relax a little before the craziness of the week descends. My latest trick for looking bright eyed and bushy tailed though, is part of my Monday morning routine, and it’s Fabulift’s Eye Lifting Serum.

DSC_1096

Packaged in individual little vials, for optimum freshness and hygiene, you only need the tiniest drop of the formula applied around the eye for it to get to work. As the serum dries, it tightens the delicate skin around the eyes giving a youthful, well rested look. If, like me, you suffer from puffiness, it really smoothes them out, and if you’re wanting to deal with loose skin, this is the closest thing to fillers! After the serum has tried, it’s really easy to gently dab a little concealer on top, and finish my makeup off as usual. The effects last all day, and I can remove the serum by just cleansing as normal. It’s genius!

Fabulift is priced at £49.99 and is available here
