Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar*

When it comes to moisturisers, I can be rather picky. I have dry, sensitive skin, but I’m always a little afraid of overloading it. So, my perfect products are always ones with great hydrating potential which aren’t too thick or heavy. Thankfully the Renewed Hope in a Jar from Philosophy fits squarely into the latter category, and it’s the perfect cream for protecting my skin from the dropping temperatures.

With a light, fresh scent, it doesn’t leave skin feeling too shiny or sticky to apply makeup, and on mornings I’ve used Renewed Hope in a Jar I don’t even feel the need to use a primer. What I’ve also been absolutely loving that fact that my skin stays hydrated all day when using the cream. I don’t get that horrible tight feeling in the mid-afternoon, it feels nourished all they way until I wash my face in the evening!

Sensai Cellular Performance Day Cream*

Sensai Cellular Performance Day Cream

I love it when I fall in love with brands which haven’t quite hit the super-popular iconic stage yet. It might just be the hipster in me, but sharing a new find with friends is always so fun, and I like having a bathroom cabinet shelf that doesn’t too-closely resemble anyone else’s.

Sensai Cellular Performance Day Cream 1

Sensai is definitely one of those brands, and I’ve been having a bit of a love affair with them (so expect more posts coming up rather soon)! For the past month or so, I’ve been trialling the Sensai Cellular Performance Day cream, and if, like me, you have dry and sensitive skin, this is an absolute god-send of a product!

Sensai Cellular Performance Day Cream 2

First off, the cream itself is a pretty peachy-pink colour, which is just so pretty. It doesn’t leave a colour on the skin, but it’s a nice detail nonetheless. Unlike a lot of deeply nourishing creams that I’ve tried in the past, Sensai’s is far lighter and feels more like a gel. It sinks flawlessly into skin, leaving it feeling wonderfully soft and smooth. The cream also has an SPF of 25, which is so handy, as so many facial sunscreens break me out! The formula is designed to illuminate skin, and I have noticed that it leaves my skin with a real glow. It’s perfect if you’re after pretty summertime skin which still feels nourished.

Sensai Cellular Performance Day Cream is priced at £94.00 and is available here.

Stop Skincare Stop & Wow! Instant Skin Perfector*

Stop Skincare Instant Skin PerfectorWhen I met with Dr. Mckeown at Harvey Nichols a few weeks ago, the product I was probably most excited about trying with the Stop Skincare Stop & Wow! Instant Skin Perfector. It’s the first product that Dr. Mckeown developed, and when I quizzed him about the true, must have products from his line, this was the first one he picked up.

Stop Skincare Instant Skin Perfector 1

Packaged in a super slick tupe (I just love the flash of neon!) the Instant Skin Perfector is basically the primer that your dreams are made of! Described as a real-life ‘airbrush,’ it couldn’t be easier to include the Perfector in your existing skincare regime. I’ve been applying a little of the cream after my regular moisturiser, and I love how light it feels.

Stop Skincare Instant Skincare Perfector 2

Even though it completely disappears into the skin, the Perfector couldn’t really be more clever! Microspheres in the formula blur wrinkles and imperfections in the skin, whilst large pores are completely evened out. As well as all of these incredible properties, it also has light reflectors which give skin a super believable glow (without the dreaded disco ball face). As if all of this wasn’t enough, it even prolongs makeup for an extra few hours. In a word, the Skin Stop & Wow! is complete magic!

Stop Skincare Stop & Wow! Instant Skin Perfect is priced at £30.00 and is available here.

Clarins Repair Booster

DSC_0437

If there was one thing that I could change about my skin, I would get rid of my redness in a split second. I’m not sure if it’s a combination of having sensitive skin and living in quite a cold climate or if it’s just some genetics thing, but my skin sits squarely on the pink side, even if I’m and my skin is calm and hydrated. I’m fortunate that I don’t suffer from anything worse, and that for the most part my skin behaves as I’d like, but it can definitely get annoying when I want to look perfectly put together and my cheeks are glowing pink. So, when Clarins announced that they were releasing a trio of brand new Boosters, I knew I had to treat myself to the Repair one!

What I love about Clarins Boosters is how easy they are to use – you take your moisturiser then simply add two to three drops, mix it up, then apply like normal. Then, as the day goes on, your choice of Booster gets to work, mine obviously is busy repairing skin and dealing with redness but the other two deal with brightness and detoxing. You can even add a drop to your foundation to give it a bit of a glow (although I found it made mine a touch sticky feeling). I’ve been using my Repair Booster for about a fortnight now, both morning and night and I have seen a a bit of reduction in my redness. It’s also the perfect choice if you’re off somewhere sunny on holiday – it works to repair and soothe damaged skin too!

Clarins Repair Booster is priced at £30.00 and is available here.

Rodial Dragon’s Blood XXL Advanced Sculpting Serum*

DSC_0038

I always think that Rodial is one of those brands that just makes you feel special. From their awesome names to products which work insanely well, they always produce the most special of products. The new Dragon’s Blood XXL Advanced Sculpting Serum is no different.

DSC_0044

The name is taken from a  Croton Lechleri tree, known locally as the Dragon Blood tree, which is historically used for medicinal and healing purposes. The formula mixes all this goodness with hyaluronic acid, wheat proteins, hema’tite, tetrapeptide-6 and red snow algae which all work together to taught skin, hydrate it, and leaving it looking beautifully glowy.

Like all Rodial products I’ve tried, the ingredients are potent, so you only need the teeniest squeeze of the serum every morning. I’ve been applying it to freshly cleansed skin prior to my moisturiser, and my skin has really been feeling the benefits. I absolutely love the lightweight feel of the serum, and it just disappears into the skin without leaving it feeling tacky or oil. Instead, my skin feels like it’s been given an extra dose of nutrition and moisture, and my makeup just seems to glide on, on top of it.Using the Dragon’s Blood XXL Advanced Serum just feels like having a super-good skin day. It’s amazing for perking up tired eyes right up, and it makes skin look so fresh and youthful.

Will you be trying Rodial’s Dragon’s Blood XXL Advanced Serum?

It’s priced at £125.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
