Pinghe AW15 Collection

2015.01.15_PingheAW153074

When I got a sneak peek at Pinghe’s gorgeous AW15 collection, I have to admit, I got a bit excited. The collection feels so slick, streamlined and modern I just had to share it with you. The collection is pretty much everything I adore – the clean lines and neutral palette just screams modern classic, and I can’t tell you how much I want to try on everything!

The whole collection is inspired by the artwork of Kazimir Malevich, who specialised in geometric abstract art, and you can really see the nods to his work in the sharpness of line in the pieces. Pinghe have also reflected his work in the ethos of ‘no matter the angle, the beauty does not change,’ This means that real attention to detail has been paid to the back and sides of the garments, which come adorned with the most divine ruffles and embroidery.

Although from a distance, a lot of the pieces look quite minimalist in design, when you get up close and personal with them, Pinghe’s iconic embroidery detailing becomes the star. The garments have been adorned to really complement the wearer’s shape in the most flattering of ways.

I absolutely adore how much thought have been put into the garments – they’re really a work of art unto themselves. All the garments are constructed out of LTF1 fabric, a signature of Pinghe, so that the architectural detailing really shines. The fabric doesn’t crease, so the pieces are always going to look great.

As you can tell, I’m more than a little in love with the collection! If you are too, Pinghe is stocked at Fenwick’s London and Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge. You can also find the designs here.

Urban Decay Naked Illuminator Powder – Aura*

Urban Decay Illuminating Powder 1

As much as I wear SPF and try to stay out of the sun, there is just something about a tan which feels so effortlessly pretty. As much as a golden glow is part of it, that glow you get after a day in the sun is incredibly hard to beat! Thankfully though, Urban Decay has released their Naked Illuminator Powder.

Urban Decay Illuminating Powder 2

Designed to give skin a ‘gorgeous, just got naked glow’ Urban Decay’a Naked Illuminator Powder is an absolute gem of a face powder. The formula feels silky smooth, and completely melts into the skin when applied with a big fluffy brush. The incredible texture comes thanks to the incredible way the powder is produced – Urban Decay bake each dome on terracotta for 24 hours, and then the Illuminator is then finished by hand.

Urban Decay Illuminating Powder 4

The Naked Illuminator Powder comes in two shades – Luminous (a golden champagne) and Aura (mine) which is a warm rosy gold. Both of the powders come in a gorgeous brown compact which comes complete with a large mirror in the lid, and a brush hidden inside the lower section of the compact.

Urban Decay Illuminating Powder 3

Urban Decay’s Naked Illuminator Powder is really the ultimate multitasking product! On days where I’m not wearing too much makeup, a quick swipe over my nose, cheeks and forehead gives the perfect amount of warmth, whilst I can focus on my cheek bones for a little flattering sheen if I’m going for a makeup look that’s more formal. Rather than most of the illuminating powders I’ve tried, Urban Decay’s Naked Illuminating Powder isn’t too sparkly, and looks incredibly natural. Since the dome of powder is quite large, it’s easy to swirl a large brush and dust the powder on my clavicle too!

Urban Decay’s Naked Illuminating Powder is priced at £22.50 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Chanel Les Beiges Collection

DSC_0649Chanel are really hitting it out the park with summer with their limited edition releases. When I saw the Les Beiges Collection yesterday, I couldn’t help myself!

The whole collection is based on beautiful nudes, and I just had to treat myself to a couple of pieces – I picked up a Healthy Glow Multi-Color Powder (Limited Edition), Glossimer Lip Gloss, Hydrating Lip Balm (Limited Edition) and Le Vernis Nail Colour in Beige Rose.

I’ll be sharing my reviews of the products super soon, so stay tuned!

You can find the bronzer here, and the lip balm here

Helly Hansen W Active Headband*

 Helly Hansen Active Headband

I can’t really believe that we’re nearing the end of June, although I am relishing the long nights which mean I have ample time to get out and about to enjoy the golden light.

Helly Hansen Active Headband 1

To keep me looking tidy, and to brighten my otherwise monochromatic workout gear, I’ve been loving Helly Hansen’s W Active Headband in Neon Pink. It looks so bright and fun, and it’s incredibly comfortable to wear. After securing my hair in a high ponytail, I just pop the band on. It’s super stretchy, so it fits my big head comfortably, and thanks to the double straps it stays in place, and keeps all my flyways neat and tidy.

Possibly the best thing about this awesome hairband? It’s only £ 8.00 and it’s available here.
