Arconic Curved Paddle Brush*

If you’ve got medium or long hair, I’m pretty sure you know the hassle of blow dries! Since my hair just looks weird if I don’t wash it every morning, I’m well acquainted with numerous blow dry techniques (I can’t even tell you how many big round brushes I own!), but I’m always looking for something to make my mornings easier!

The Arconic Curved Paddle Brush is one of those inventions you wonder why no-one thought of previously. It’s like your favourite paddle brush fused with your favourite barrel brush, and it means that blowing your hair out has never been easier or quicker!

The brush has been designed especially for medium to long hair and as a result, it’s quite a big thing to wield, but the size of the brush head, means that it really gets through hair – detugging like a dream and it’s comfortable to hold, as well as easy to use.

Thanks to the design, the brush pulls hair taught as you blow dry it, and the bend gives hair the perfect amount of bounce. It means that getting a salon-worthy blowout has never been easier, and I swear it’s taken at least ten minutes off my regular blow dries!

The Arconic Paddle brush is priced at £19.99 and is available here.

Windle & Moodie Shine and Smoothing Oil*

I’m not sure that there is anything quite as lovely has having a head full of soft and shiny hair, especially in the summer when you want your beauty routine to be as minimal as possible. But, when you’re blonde, and when you batter your hair about as much as I do, it can be hard to keep it shiny and healthy.

Just as an example, in the past fortnight, my entire head has been bleached twice, toned three times and I have to blow dry and straighten my hair daily. Not exactly ideal, so, in efforts to appease my hair sins, I’ve been adding as much nourishment into my routine as possible. Just out of the shower, after spraying on a little protective spray, I smooth a couple of pumps of this through the ends, and then get to grips with my Tangle Teezer. It disappears into my hair, and even when it’s wet, it feels far smoother than before.

Then, after blow drying with a round brush, I smooth a pump of the Shine and Smoothing Oil through the ends before I tackle them with the straighteners. The oil just disappears into my stressed ends, softening the look of split ends and adding a wonderful sheen to the lengths which lasts all day long!

Windle & Moodie Shine and Smoothing Oil is priced at £21 and is available here

The Bardou Amplifying Mist*

Bardou Amplify Mist

I first spotted The Bardou on Instagram – their feed is filled with the most glamorous of girls, all sporting hair you would kill for. You can bet money that the next time I’m down in London, that I’m heading in for a blow dry. But, until then, I’m content with using their products daily at home.

Bardou Amplify Mist 1

All of the Bardou products I’ve tried so far are pretty much a blogger’s dream. Slick black packaging with rose gold accents look so chic in my pretty much all-white bathrooms, and I’m glad to say, they perform just as well as they look! Every morning, after shampooing and conditioning my hair as normal, I’ve been spraying a little of Bardou’s Amplifying Spray through my roots and ends then brushing through. It protects hair from heat styling, as well as providing volume and bounce, so it’s perfect for my AM blow dries! After a couple of spritzes, I get to work with a round bristle burst to get a smooth, bouncy finish. Since I’m not exactly an expert when it comes to all things hair, I do tend to finish the process with my trusty T3 straighteners. The Amplifying Mist means that my roots have lift that lasts all day, and my hair is super shiny, and has a lovely swishy, swingy feel that almost feels like I’ve just stepped out of the salon.

Bardou’s Amplifying Spray is priced at £12.00 and is available here.

Wella Elements Hair Strengthening Serum*

Wella Elements Hair Strengthening Serum

As someone who puts rather a lot of strain on their hair, I’m always on the lookout for products which might undo some of the damage. On a regular basis, I slather my ends in all sorts of lotions and potions, but I tend to leave the roots pretty much alone, so, when Wella sent over a bottle of their new Elements Hair Strengthening Serum I got rather excited.

Unlike most serums I use, this one is specifically designed to be used on the scalp and roots of the hair. Designed to strengthen hair fibres, create volume and maintain a balanced scalp, the Hair Strengthening Serum is part of the Elements range which is free of sulphates, parabens and artificial colorants. Although Wella say that you can use the serum prior to styling, it’s a little heavy for me, so I’ve been using the serum every second or third night. I love how easy it is to use – I simply spray a little of the serum on my roots, working my way from the front to the back, sectioning off my hair. I massage it in, throw my hair in a top knot and then head to bed. I’ve been using the serum for around three or four weeks now, and I’m seeings a noticeable difference, most obviously in those baby hairs. They seem to be growing more quickly than usual, and my hair feels smoother and sleeker too!

Wella Elements Hair Strengthening Serum is priced at £16.49 and is available here

Touch of Silver Intensive Shine Treatment Shots*

DSC_0740

Touch of Silver is one of those brands you wonder why you haven’t fallen in love with sooner! I use their purple shampoo incredibly regularly, as it cuts through brassiness in my hair, and leaves it super soft and shiny, so, when I saw that PRO:VOKE had released these dinky little shots, I couldn’t wait to give them a shot!

DSC_0759

After shampooing as normal (btw the Touch of Silver shampoo smells incredible – like grape candy) I unwrapped one of the vials and got to work. You use the shot instead of your regular conditioner, and I smoothed it from root to tip. The shot has a super light texture, and Felt like it really sank in whilst I got down to business in the shower. After leaving it in for a good ten minutes, I hosed my hair down like normal, and got to work styling my hair like normal.

Although the shot doesn’t smell quite as awesome as the other Touch of Silver products I’ve tried, it really did make a noticeable difference to my hair – it felt really soft, and was far shinier than before. These are such a great, and affordable addition to your haircare regime, you have to check them out, no matter what hair colour you are!

The shots are priced at £6.99 and are available here.
