Gift Guide: Nuxe Cracker*

Nuxe Cracker

Without resorting into carols, it’s beginning to look an awful a lot like Christmas, and I’m rather happy about it. Who wouldn’t be when an absolute gift like Nuxe’s adorable cracker popped through the door?!

Nuxe Cracker contents

So it might not have a bad joke or a crown, but the cracked is stuffed full with four of Nuxe’s best loved products:

  • Eau Démaquillante Micellaire Micellar Cleansing Water Mini 35ml
  • Crème Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturizing Cream Mini 15ml
  • Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil Mini 10ml
  • Reve de Miel Creme Mains et Ongles Hand and Nail Cream Mini 15ml

It’s a perfect way to treat a beauty-mad loved one, or, of course, yourself!

Nuxe cracker rose micellaire water

I’ve loved the Eau Démaquillante Micellaire Micellar Cleansing Water for a good few years as it’s an amazing, yet still gentle cleansing Micellar water. After cleansing with either a balm or foaming cleanser, I soak a cotton pad in the formula then gently sweep over my skin. It feels so calming to use, and it doesn’t dry out or irritate my sensitive skin.

Nuxe Cracker reve de miel hand and nail cream

Since my hands are consistently dry and in need of some loving at this time of year, no matter how hard I try, I was so glad to get a tube of the Reve de Miel Creme Mains et Ongles Hand and Nail Cream. It’s a lovely rich, quite heavily scented cream which feels super nourishing to use. This has been popped into my handbag for much needed use throughout the day.

Nuxe Cracker Creme Prodigieuse

Another of Nuxe’s products I’ve relied on for a while is the Crème Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturizing Cream. It’s a great choice on days where I feel my skin is a little oiler than normal, as it has a mattifying effect which leaves skin looking soft and glowy without heading into the shiny territory.

Nuxe Cracker huile prodigieuse

Last up is probably Nuxe’s best known and loved products – their Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil. It’s a multi-use product which delivers a blast of moisture to face, body and even hair! I love the dry texture of the oil, as it sinks into skin super quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy residue.

The cracker is such a great way to fall in love with some of Nuxe’s best products, and I can’t imagine anyone who would love waking up to one of these on Christmas morning!

Nuxe Christmas Cracker is priced at £10.00 and is available here

Molton Brown Alba White Truffle Hand Exfoliate & Hand Treatment*

Molton Brown Alba White Truffle Hand Exfoliator & Hand Treatment

Now we’re squarely into December, and the temperature has taken a rather seasonal downward turn, I’m all about hiding indoors and giving myself a bit of a pamper. So, these brand new goodies from Molton Brown couldn’t have arrived at a better time!

Molton Brown White Truffle Hand Exfoliator & Hand Treatmen 1

Packaged in some seriously slick silver tubes, the Alba White Truffle duo are designed to really treat and soothe winter-ravaged hands, and they could feel more luxurious to use! They really are a must-have if you like a do-it-yourself manicure!

Molton Brown White Truffle Hand Exfoliator

Once or twice per week, and before painting my nails, I’ve been using the Hand Exfoliator. It’s a super thick scrub which smells absolutely incredible! The formula contains a rare Alba truffle extract to soften skin, and since it has such a rich texture, you only need to use the tiniest amount per application.

The duo has to be one of the best smelling products I’ve tried all year! The fragrance contains a blend of myrrh, nutmeg and vanilla, and it’s ridiculously yummy. It’s the perfect gourmand scent, and I really can’t get enough of the stuff! I wash off the exfoliator using warm water and a clean flannel, and my hands are so, so smooth. If, like me, you suffer from cuticles which peel and hands that need a little pampering, you have to try it!

Molton Brown White Truffle Hand Treatment 1

After giving my hands a good slough, I’ve been slathering them in the delicious Alba White Truffle Hand Treatment. It’s one of the thickest and most luxurious hand creams I’ve tried, and it’s absolutely glorious!

Despite the incredibly thick consistency, the Hand Treatment really soaks into skin quite quickly, and it leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated rather than sticky. Again, the scent of the cream is divine – heavily vanilla-based, but in no way too sweet or cloying. It’s a beautifully festive option! Using the duo feels like such a treat, and my hands are really showing the benefit of using them!

Yardley Rose Cracker*

Yardley Rose Hand Cream Cracker

I can’t believe how close Christmas is getting, and talking to friends, I don’t think I’m the only one! So, since I’m feeling increasing festive I thought I would share one of the first beauty crackers I came across this year – featuring Yardley’s English Rose Hand Cream.

Yardley Rose Hand Cream

I feel like luxury beauty crackers might be taking over from the advent calendars which have been popular for the past couple of years. I think they’re absolutely adorable! They make amazing little gifts or even present add ons – and they don’t even need to be wrapped!

Yardley Rose Hand Cream 1

Yardley’s offering comes complete with a full size tube of their English Rose Hand Cream. I’ve never tried their creams before, but it’s a lovely lightweight formula which I’ve been reaching for during the day. Even though I can sometimes find rose fragrances too heavy, Yardley’s is beautifully light and almost fruity. It’s the perfect way to stop your hands drying out over the winter!

Yardley English Rose Hand Cream Cracker is priced at £4.00 and is available here

MoroccanOil Hand Cream*

MoroccanOil Hand Cream

This winter one of my resolutions is to keep my hands in as good condition as possible. Since I’m someone that tends to mindlessly fiddle with my nails and cuticles and I live in Scotland, which means cold temperatures from now until approximately June, it is harder than you would think to keep everything hydrated. Coupled with the fact I’m absolutely loving super-dark polishes, keeping my hands looking groomed is a serious task!

MoroccanOil Hand Cream 2

One of the main things I’ve been doing is making sure that my hands are staying as hydrated as possible. As well as feeling a hundred times softer and smoother, keeping cuticles soft means that they don’t tend to peel or tear, meaning my manicures so much better! So, to keep looking and feeling tip top, my hand cream of choice has been MoroccanOil’s offering.

MoroccanOil Hand Cream 1

After falling in love with their body butter (see here) I knew their body products wouldn’t disappoint, and the Hand Cream is no different! It has a lovely rich consistency, which just melts into my rather parched digits. Packed with the brand’s signature argan and avocado oils, the cream instantly soaks into skin without leaving any sort of film, leaving behind the softest skin and a subtle scent.

MoroccanOil Hand Cream 3

I can’t even begin to describe the improvement I’ve had since I’ve been keeping the MoroccanOil Hand Cream near me! My nails are growing, and I don’t have angry red cuticles to sit and pick at any more! Instead my skin just feels silky smooth, and I’ve been making sure that I carry my trusty tube everywhere with me to make sure that I’m never caught with dried out hands. After washing my hands, or using sanitiser, I make sure to use a quick squeeze, and every evening, before bed I give my hands a generous coating.

MoroccanOil Hand Cream is priced at £20.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Clarins Feed 10 – Gift with Purpose*

Clarins Feed 10 Gift with Purpose 2015

I first came across the FEED charity a couple of years ago when in the US, and when I spotted last year’s pair-up with Clarins I was seriously excited. Founded by Lauren Bush in 2007 the charity provides much needed meals for schoolchildren in places like Cambodia, Chad and Guatemala. Last year FEED and Clarins partnered for the first time, and they exceed their target to provide one million meals, going on to secure an amazing 1,458,000. This year, they hope to provide 2 million meals to children in need!

Clarins Feed 10 Gift with Purpose 2015 2

It’s an incredible charity, and it’s so wonderful that it’s been given such great support from a brand like Clarins, and it’s so easy to support! All you have to do is buy two Clarins products (one to be skincare) between now and October 3rd (that’s Saturday) and you can pick up the gorgeous FEED makeup bag.

Clarins Feed 10 Gift with Purpose 2015 4

Made up of seriously durable cotton, and decorated with a cute stamped, I’ve already popped the makeup bag into my tote as it’s such a great size, and it’s so pretty. But the makeup bag isn’t all you get – nope, inside you will find five of Clarins’ best loved products:

Clarins Feed 10 Gift with Purpose 2015 3

  • Moisture-Rich Body Lotion 100ml
  • Relax Bath and Shower Concentrate 100ml
  • Gentle Refiner 30ml
  • HydraQuench Cream-Mask 30ml
  • Hand and Nail Treatment Cream 50ml.

Clarins Feed 10 Gift with Purpose 2015 1

I’ve already tucked the shower gel, body lotion and scrub into my gym bag, and the hand cream is sitting in my glove compartment. The moisture mask? I’m wearing it right now!

You can claim your FFED bag when you make two qualifying purchases here.

*This gift was a PR sample, I have personally donated $25 to the FEED Charity which you can do here
