Lancome Juicy Shaker – Show Me the Honey*

Ok, so it’s not exactly news that I’m a big fan of Lancome’s Juicy Shaker lip glosses. When they were released earlier this year, I kind of binged on them – collecting a handful of colours in a few weeks, and honestly, they’re still one of my most used products.

Show Me the Honey is probably the most neutral of my collection (which even contains a blue one) and it’s the perfect shade for everyday use. It’s a sheer, warm toned peach which makes lips look pretty and juicy – and really, what more can you ask for?

Like all Juicy Shakers, Show Me the Honey, has a bi-phase formula which you shake prior to using. Then, using the foam applicator, you just dab the gloss onto lips. It has a moisturizing and super lightweight formula, so it’s perfect if you’re not a fan of a sticky gloss. Instead this just smoothes on, leaving lips feeling hydrated and looking gorgeous!

Lancome’s Juicy Shaker in Show Me the Honey is priced at £18.00 and is available here (UK) and is priced at $21 and is available here (US)

Sensai Silky Design Rouge – Hiro*

When it comes to makeup, I’m something of a neutrals fan. I love a smokey brown eye, a beige nail or a pinky nude lip, but sometimes you just need a pop of colour. Enter Sensai’s Silky Design Rouge, a slick lip crayon which feels like silk to apply and has the most wonderful colour payoff you can imagine!

Available in a selection of six, super saturated shades which run the gamut from fuchsia to rich wine, Sensai’s Silky Design Rouge is perfect if you’re after a pop of colour. Since the crayons are narrow enough to use as both a liner and a lipstick, so if you’re in the process of choosing must-haves for your summer makeup bag, this one is a no brainer!

Hero is a stunning pink toned red which looks wonderful paired with tan skin and minimal eye makeup. It applied like an absolute dream, and I love how light yet moisturising it feels to wear. The Silky Design Rouge has a subtle sheen which looks so pretty and summer appropriate! In case you can’t tell already – I love it!

Sensai’s Silky Design Rouge in Hiro is priced at £28 and is available here.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Collection*

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick

When it comes to lipstick, it takes an awful lot for a brand to stand out. I tend to look for a great selection of colours, various formulas and a certain amount of glamour. Happily, Urban Decay have all of the above in spadefuls, and much, much more. And when I say more, I mean it. Where most brands tap out at 20 – 30 shades and finishes, Urban Decay have just released their Vice collection which has 100!

Urban Decay Vice Pandemonium

I was kindly sent over a few of the shades to try, and I’m happy to admit I’ve been completely won over – the shade collection is (unsurprisingly) incredible. No matter who natural or vivid you want your lips, there’s something for you. There are six finishes to choose from: mettalized, cream, sheer, sheer shimmer, comfort matte and mega matte, and the first I tried, Pandemonium, is a mega matte. It’s possibly one of the most vibrant shades I own – purple with a slight red undertone.

Urban Decay Vice 714

714 was first released as part of Gwen Stefani’s collection earlier in the year. It’s another one of the mega mattes, and it’s a beautiful true red with a pink undertone. This is such a wonderful summer shade, and I can’t wait to wear this with a tan and nude eye.

Urban Decay Vice Big Bang

Big Bang is one of the Metallized shades, and it’s basically all my Barbie-lips dreams come true! It’s a super shimmery magenta pink which is perfect if you’re looking for real cool toned pink. The shimmer in the formula is a little chunky, but the formula is really comfortable to wear, and it’s surprisingly long-wearing.

Urban Decay Vice Firebird

Firebird is another colour that was first released as part of Gwen Stefani’s collection and has a cream finish. This one is beautifully smooth to apply, and the colour payoff is amazing, and it feels like such a glamorous choice of colour to wear!

Urban Decay Vice Backtalk

Last up is Backtalk, a comfort matte shade, and probably my most reached-for shade from the lineup. It slicks on beautifully, and I’m obsessed with the warm pinky-nude shade. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something to keep you looking polished throughout the summer!

Urban Decay Vice lipsticks are £15 and are available here (UK) and here (US)

Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Lipstick – So Mod*

Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Lipstick

Rodin is one of those brands that just feels like pure luxury from start to finish. The products come tucked in sturdy white boxes, and the products themselves are just dreamy. I’ve loved pretty much everything I’ve tried from the brand, so when I heard that they were branching out from skincare, and adding a lipstick to the mix, you can imagine how excited I got!

Rodin Luxury Lipstick - So Mod 1

Much like everything from the brand, and Linda Rodin herself, the new Olio Lusso Luxury Lipstick are the epitome of understated elegance. Packaged in super cute, minimalist acetate packaging, there are five shades to choose from, ranging from a fiery tomato red (the aptly named Tough Tomato) to my choice, the only neutral (So Mod).

Rodin Lipstick - So Mod

When it comes to neutral lipsticks, I’m a bit of a nightmare, they can’t be too pink, too peach or too brown, and usually they have a subtle touch of mauve. Anything else just looks oddly artificial on me, and happily, I’ve been slicking Rodin’s So Mod with abandon.

Rodin Luxury Lipstick - So Mod 3

The colour of the lipstick falls perfectly in my neutral territory. It’s definitely a pinky-peach, but there’s just enough of an undertone to keep it looking natural. I’ve been wearing mine with a slick of bronzer and a shimmery neutral eye. It feels perfect for summer, although the formula is so comfortable to wear, I know I’ll be picking it up throughout the winter too!

Rodin Luxury Lipstick - So Mod 4

As much as I adore the colour, I might be even more in love with the formula. As you might expect from a luxury skincare line, it’s seriously well thought out, and the result is a lipstick that’s incredibly comfortable to wear, as well as surprisingly long-lasting.

Rodin Luxury Lipstick - So Mod Swatch

On the lips, Rodin’s Olio Lusso Luxury Lipstick feels incredibly lightweight and balmy. Like the iconic face oil, the lipsticks contain jasmine & neroli oils as well as rose water and lavender flower wax, vitamins c and e, apricot, argan and meadow flower oils. The result is a lipstick which feels nourishing, and leaves lips with a subtle sheen.

Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Lipstick in So Mod is priced at £28.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Maybelline Baby Lips Glosses*

Maybelline Baby Lips Glosses

I’m not sure about you, but by the time it gets around to being a Friday, I’m always in the mood to treat myself. I usually find myself wandering around SpaceNK or Harvey Nichols, desperate to find something that’s not too expensive but is still a nice little find. Now though, Boots has been my port of call, as I have fallen completely in love with Maybelline’s new Baby Lips lip glosses – the proof? I may have bought myself three new colours since these two popped through the door!

Maybelline Baby Lips Gloss - A Wink of pink gloss

The packaging for glosses is pretty standard – the white cap is emblazoned with the Maybelline Baby Lips logo, and the gloss itself is in a clear tube which means selecting a colour from my makeup bag couldn’t be easier. Wink of Pink is a stunning, warm toned pink gloss which is shot through with golden shimmer. On the lips, the gloss feels surprising rich and balmy (these aren’t in any way sticky) and they give a sheer hint of shimmer with a flattering sheen of gloss. As you might imagine, since the glosses are part of the Baby Lips collection, they promise to moisturize, which, now we’re in the middle of summer, is much needed!

Maybelline Baby Lips Gloss 1

The formula of the gloss really feels surprisingly luxe. Everything from the doe foot applicator to the fruity scent feels well thought out, and I’ve been reaching for them more regularly than my normal Chanel or Dior choices. The wear-time might not be hours long, but the glosses are so cute and affordable, I don’t really mind topping them up!

Maybelline Baby Lips Gloss - Fab & Fuchsia

Possibly my most reached-for shade this week has been Fab and Fuchsia. In the tube it looks like a neon-Barbie dream of a gloss, but it’s far more subtle on the lips. It just gives a super sheer wash of shine with a subtle pink tint. Again, it has the brand’s signature fruity sweet scent, but I kind of love it, and the non-sticky formula is just so comfortable to wear, I’ve actually picked myself up a backup!

Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Glosses are priced at £4.99 each and are available here.
