Stop Skincare Night Cream*

Stop Skincare Day Cream

A few weeks back, Harvey Nichols kindly invited me to meet with Dr. Darren Mckeown, one of the country’s leading facial aestheticians. Tucked up in the personal shopping suite, I learned all about Dr. Mckeown’s new skincare line which is being sold exclusively at Harvey Nichols, and I have fallen absolutely in love with it!

What’s so special about the Stop Skincare range, is that it’s designed to prevent ageing, rather than fix what’s already been done. He’s designed the range for skin that’s not quite ready for the big-time anti-ageing which most products provide, but Stop still treats and nourishes skin.

Getting to sit and chat with Dr. Mckeown was such a treat. He couldn’t have been nicer or more knowledgeable about the entire skincare line, and I even chatted about what kind of procedures I’d been thinking about. After learning that preventative Botox might do more harm than good, I trotted home, armed with Stop Skincare and a resolve to really baby my skin. The Night Cream was the first of the products I tried, and I have to say, it’s quickly become a real favourite. The consistency of the cream feels so rich and nourishing, but it doesn’t overwhelm skin. Instead, it just leaves my face feeling soft and nourished.

I’ve been trying out a whole range of products, so stay tuned for more from Stop Skincare – spoiler alert, it’s awesome!

Stop Skincare Night Cream is priced at £40.00 and is available here.

Lancome Energie de Vie Nuit*

I’m so excited to share some real newness from Lancome – they have just released their brand new Energie de Vie line, and I’m pleased to say, I’ve been trying out two of their products, andI’m obsessed! The first product I thought I would share is the Le Masque Nuit, which is perfect if you’re a dry skin girl like me.

Lancome Energie de vie nuit

Packaged in the most gorgeous vibrant green jar, the Le Masque Nuit is a product which has been taking Far Eastern Beauty by storm. The idea is that you cleanse as normal, then apply a little of the Le Masque Nuit. Sleeping in the masque gives it hours and hours to get to work; hydrating, healing and nourishing skin, and you wake up with skin that looks and feels amazing!

As someone who has pretty dry skin, when I felt the texture, I wasn’t sure it was really going to be nourish enough for me, happily though, I was seriously wrong! The Le Masque Nuit has a super light, almost gel-like texture that just melts into skin. The texture is meant to cool and calm skin, whilst it gets to work, and you wake up looking and feeling so well rested and calmed!

I just adore the light, refreshing scent, and it’s become a real nightstand staple! I tend to use it three to four times a week – or just whenever my skin is feeling a little blah or stressed. I also really like the fact this isn’t an age-targeted range, all skin types can benefit from the line, and when I’ve passed it around my friends to see what  they think, they’ve all fallen in love too!

Lancome Energie de Vie Le Mask de Nuit is priced at £42.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Bobbi Brown might be a brand that’s best known for creating beautiful makeup which makes you look like yourself on your best day, but what you might not know is, they also have a rather impressive skincare line which creates the perfect canvas for their beauty looks!

Including everything from cleansers, toners and moisturizers to perfumes, the newest additions to the line up is this trio of face masks which promise to detox, nourish and boost skin’s radiance. The fact that you can pick and choose the masks best suited to your skin type is so handy, and if you want to treat yourself to all three (and you will) you can really focus the masks on your problem areas. Rather handily, to let you see what works best for you, the trio is available in dinky sample sizes for a rather affordable £10!

The Instant Detox Mask is a complete must-have if you have oily or congested skin. I’ve been adding this to my Sunday at-home spa evenings to really clear out my skin before the week begins, and I’m rather fond of it!

With a formula rich in minerals, it’s far more than your average clay face mask. Instead, ingredients like  to ensure Hawaiian Sea Water and Amazonian White Clay, fuse together to help extract dirt and oil from pores, whilst the Sea Salt cleanses, nourishes and balances skin, without leaving it feeling stripped or dry.

The Radiance Boost mask is basically all of my exfoliation dreams combined into one chic little white tube. Unlike the much maligned microbeads which have just been outlawed in the US, this mask uses superfine walnut grains to slough away dead skin.

With the grains held in a super-nourishing Algae-infused formula, the mask really gets rid of any winter dryness, leaving skin feeling soft and radiant. I’ve been using the mask around twice a week, and am loving the results!

Last up is the Skin Nourish Mask which is packaged in the most beautiful pink tube. I’ve been using this mask at night instead of my regular pm moisturizer, and I’ve been seriously bowled over by the results. Unlike the other two masks, Skin Nourish is all about treating and hydrating skin. The lightweight formula sinks easily into skin, with ingredients such as Coral Grass, Hydro Herb and Salicornia which lock in and regulate moisture levels, as well as plumping, smoothing and nourishing the complexion. It’s the perfect choice if you feel like your constantly getting dry skin from things like central heating and being outside in the cold!

The full sized masks are currently available exclusively here

Skin Design London Sleeping Beauty Night Cream*

Skin Design London Sleep Beauty Night Treatment

Having a rather luxurious pot of night cream on my bedside table feels all very adult and grown up, and I’ve been absolutely loving Skin Design London’s rather opulent offering – Sleeping Beauty night cream.

Skin Design London Sleep Beauty Night Treatment 1

Packaged in an absolutely gorgeous black and acetate pot, Sleeping Beauty promises to restore hydration and regain suppleness in skin, and basically make it look like you’ve had a rather good night’s rest. I love the genius in the simplicity, and the rich cream is absolutely packed with great-for-skin ingredients such as Jojoba Oil, Collagen, Green, Red and White Tea, Acai Berry,  Rosehip Oil, Avocado Oil, Omega 3, 6, 9 & Vitamin E & C.

Skin Design London Sleep Beauty Night Treatment 2

The Sleeping Beauty cream has a decadently rich texture, and can be used as either a night cream, or, if your skin is in need of a little pampering, a moisture mask. Since my skin is both dry and sensitive, I’ve been using the cream every 3-4 nights and letting it sink in overnight. I love the gentle fragrance which feels fresh rather than overpowering, and it feels incredibly nourishing to apply. After cleansing, a warm a little of the moisturiser in my fingers, then gently press it into my skin, paying close attention to areas such as my eyes, or wherever is feeling a bit dry and tired. My skin absolutely drinks up the formula, and in the morning I wake up with skin which feels soft and soothed, as well as incredibly nourished.

Skin Design London Sleeping Beauty Night Cream is priced at £90.00 and is available here
