Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter – Sin*

Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter

So, Urban Decay have just released their new summer 2016 collection, and I have to say, it’s incredible. From the new products to the packaging, everything in it is the definition of covetable, and I’m absolutely in love with all of it!

The product which is probably the one I reach for most out of the collection is the stunning Aferglow Highlighter in Sin. A take on last year’s Afterglow 8 Hour blushes, there are three highlighting shades to choose from: Sin is a neutral champagne shimmer which should suit most skin colours, Aura a pretty pink shimmer, and Fireball which is a warm red based highlighter which should add a glow to even the deepest of skin tones.

Packaged like their namesake blushes, the Afterglow Highlighter promises to make even the most tired of complexions glow, so, as you can imagine, I was absolutely desperate to try it out!

Sin is definitely a highlighter you can reach for daily, and I’ve been loving how easy and buildable the formula is. For day, I swirl a highlighting brush (this one) and the apply a light dusting to my cheekbones, nose and cupids’ bow. For a slightly more night-time look, I use a smaller, more densely packed brush which deposits a little more product.

Since the powder is so finely milled, it’s easy to apply without it looking too shimmery or frosted. Instead, it blends seamlessly into skin, leaving it looking naturally healthy, glowing and perfect for summer!

Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Sin is priced at £19.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Vita Liberata Trystal Bronzing Minerals – Sunkissed*

Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals - Sunkissed 3

If there’s one piece of makeup I reach for on a daily basis, it has to be bronzer. Even if I’m just popping out for one of my all too regular coffees, or just the gym, a quick swipe makes me feels more human. So, when I heard about Vita Liberata’s Trystal Bronzing Minerals which act as a subtle fake tan, as well as a bronzer, I knew I had to give them a go!

Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals - Sunkissed

Complete with the world’s softest kabuki brush, and packaged in a large screw top jar, the Trystal Bronzing Minerals are a super finely milled powder which contain micronised crystals for sheer, lightweight bronzing coverage as well as DHA for a lasting tan. If you’re pretty minimalist when it comes to your makeup, this is such a great choice as the tan lasts for up to five days after application!

For best results, I tend to opt for the Trystal Bronzing Minerals on days that I’m just wearing a bit of moisturiser. After allowing my cream to sink in, I simply swirl the kabuki brush around the lid of the Bronzing Minerals jar, and apply as normal. Since the formula is so lightweight, it applies like an absolute dream, and gives you a super believable glow. The colour of the powder is perfection – it’s not too warm or muddy, instead it just gives a really beautiful, natural looking tan.

When the Trystal Bronzing Minerals were released earlier this year, they sold out in two weeks, and I’m really not surprised! The finish they have when worn as a bronzer is gorgeous – the perfect amount of colour and coverage, and they are such a no fail way of applying facial fake tan! Even after cleansing, the Trystal Bronzing Minerals give skin a super natural wash of colour. Worn daily, the bronzer can also be used to really personalise your colour – it’s genius!

Vita Liberata Trystal Bronzing Minerals are priced at £35.00 and are available here (UK) and here (US)

Harvey Nichols Edinburgh and Aspinal of London – Burgundy Red Travel Collection*

Aspinal Travel Collection

If you follow me on Instagram (you can find me here) you’ll know that a couple of weeks ago, Harvey Nichols Edinburgh kindly invited me to an event being hosted with Aspinal of London.

Aspinal of London Monogram

Aspinal of London personalisation

Positioned right in the centre of the swoon-worthy accessories department, Aspinal of London had set up a seriously old school monogram press, which meant that anything purchased could be personalised to your heart’s content. The selection of leather goods from Aspinal was truly the stuff of dreams – neon pouches, sleek clutches and the most glamorous of totes were all crying out for a little bit of initialing, so when I was handed a rather sleek box, I’m not ashamed to admit that I squealed more than a little bit!

Aspinal of London Travel Collection

Tucked inside was the chicest of collections – Aspinal of London’s Burgundy Red Travel Collection. I cannot tell you how long I have lusted after this selection of goodies! Every time I’ve stepped foot inside an airport I’ve promised myself that I’m going to treat myself to an Aspinal of London travel wallet – they are just the epitome of glamorous travel (not to mention being incredibly useful) and I’ve never gotten around to choosing one. So, you can imagine how excited I was to get my paws on the entire travel collection! Safe to say I can’t wait to book up somewhere terribly exotic to christen the set!

Aspinal of London Travel Collection Travel Wallet monogram

Crafted out of the finest Italian Saffino calf leather, the Travel Collection comprises of a Classic Travel Wallet, Passport Cover and two luggage tags (one for hand luggage and one for checked) and is available in a veritable rainbow of shades. Mine, burgundy is a new shade for Aspinal, and it’s also my favourite!

Aspinal of London Travel Wallet

The Classic Travel Wallet is everything you want and need when you’re travelling. Whenever I travel I tend to get super paranoid about losing tickets and passports, so to have everything in one terribly good looking package is an absolute dream!

Inside the Travel Wallet, there’s a place for everything! From a zippered compartment for coins, to a slot for your boarding passes, tickets and passport, it means that fumbling around at passport control is a thing of the past!

The interior of the Travel Wallet is trimmed in stunning blue suede. It’s buttery soft, and it adds the most beautiful pop of colour to the wallet.

Aspinal of London Travel Collection Passport Holder

I was so happy to see the Passport Cover tucked into my box – my passport has definitely seen better days, so to get a super sleek cover like this one is the stuff of dreams. In addition to the gorgeous Saffino leather, the Passport Cover has reinforced corners so it stays looking pristine no matter what adventures you get into!

Once again, the Passport Cover is lined in gorgeous blue suede, and comes complete with a navy twill ribbon which acts as a page saver for whatever stamps and visas you need to keep out.

Aspinal of London Travel Collection Luggage Tags

The duo of luggage labels is just adorable. The two sizes means that one is perfect for hand luggage, whilst the other can be used on checked bags. I absolutely adore how the gold monogram shines out from the burgundy Saffino leather – it feels super grown up and glamorous, and it means I can easily identify my bag when it comes off the plane!

Both luggage labels have little flaps which cover your name and address details, and again, the conners are reinforced with brass corners to make sure they hold up through even the most vigorous of baggage handlers.

Thank you so much to Harvey Nichols Edinburgh and Aspinal of London for the beautiful Travel Collection!

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Hydrating Lip Balm

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Lip Balm

Despite being on a serious lip product ban, when I stumbled across Chanel’s new Les Beiges Healthy Glow Hydrating Lip Balm, I couldn’t resist!

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Lip Balm. 1

For a start, the packaging is to-die-for! Wrapped up in a slick black tube, the lid is emblazoned with a beige double C’s, this isn’t your regular chapstick! Actually, to be honest, I’m not sure why Chanel have claimed that it’s a Hydrating Lip Balm at all, it doesn’t feel rich to apply, instead it feels really like their lipsticks – a light wash of hydrating sheer colour.

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Lip Balm. 2

I’m not complaining though, I’ve been reaching for the Healthy Glow Hydrating Lip Balm almost daily. There was only one shade released as part of the 2015 Les Beiges Collection, and it’s a peachy pink neutral which should suit most skin tones. It’s such a lovely item to pop into your makeup bag, because it looks adorable, and the formula is really great – I only need a swipe to achieve a wash of natural looking colour, which stays for about an hour. Even though the wear time might not be the greatest, it’s so easy to apply that it’s no trouble at all!

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Hydrating Lip Balm is priced at £25.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
