ModelsOwn HyperGel – Marsala*

Models Own HyperGel Marsala

I feel like I’ve been absolutely spoiled for choice recently with all of the new nail varnishes which have been released for autumn and winter, so I’ve been keeping up with my manicures, purely as an excuse to try them all! One of the stand-out shades has got to be Marsala which is part of ModelsOwn’s new Twilight Collection.

Although the polish looks rather red in the bottle, on the nail it’s a beautiful deep ruby which just touches on burgundy in certain lights. Since it’s a HyperGel polish, it has quite a thick formula, meaning you can almost get away with only using a single coat. The colour itself is beautifully creamy, and feels rather chic to wear! Coupled with the winning formula, this is a polish which feels way more expensive than it is, and who doesn’t love that!? The wear time is awesome too – I have had three days of wear without chipping, wear or peeling.

ModelsOwn HyperGel Marsala is priced at £4.99 and is available here

ModelsOwn HyperGel Twilight Collection*

Models Own Hypergel Autumn 2015

Brand new for Autumn, ModelsOwn have just released 13 brand new shades as part of their Twilight collection. I was kindly sent over seven of them, so I thought I would share a quick sneak peek before I upload all of my reviews of the individual colours. The collection is filled with really beautiful dusky, almost muted colours, and my favourites so far, have to be Jet Black and Marsala

You can find ModelsOwn HyperGel polishes at Superdrug for £4.99

MoroccanOil Hand Cream*

MoroccanOil Hand Cream

This winter one of my resolutions is to keep my hands in as good condition as possible. Since I’m someone that tends to mindlessly fiddle with my nails and cuticles and I live in Scotland, which means cold temperatures from now until approximately June, it is harder than you would think to keep everything hydrated. Coupled with the fact I’m absolutely loving super-dark polishes, keeping my hands looking groomed is a serious task!

One of the main things I’ve been doing is making sure that my hands are staying as hydrated as possible. As well as feeling a hundred times softer and smoother, keeping cuticles soft means that they don’t tend to peel or tear, meaning my manicures so much better! So, to keep looking and feeling tip top, my hand cream of choice has been MoroccanOil’s offering.

MoroccanOil Hand Cream 1

After falling in love with their body butter (see here) I knew their body products wouldn’t disappoint, and the Hand Cream is no different! It has a lovely rich consistency, which just melts into my rather parched digits. Packed with the brand’s signature argan and avocado oils, the cream instantly soaks into skin without leaving any sort of film, leaving behind the softest skin and a subtle scent.

MoroccanOil Hand Cream 3

I can’t even begin to describe the improvement I’ve had since I’ve been keeping the MoroccanOil Hand Cream near me! My nails are growing, and I don’t have angry red cuticles to sit and pick at any more! Instead my skin just feels silky smooth, and I’ve been making sure that I carry my trusty tube everywhere with me to make sure that I’m never caught with dried out hands. After washing my hands, or using sanitiser, I make sure to use a quick squeeze, and every evening, before bed I give my hands a generous coating.

MoroccanOil Hand Cream is priced at £20.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Brora Mohair Icelandic Jumper

Brora Icelandic Mohair Sweater 1

Now that we’re finally in November, I feel like I’m squarely in ‘sweater weather,’ and to be honest, I’m pretty happy about it! When the weather is as pretty as it is right now, getting to spend days outside in golden sunshine feels pretty wonderful! Since autumn is usually pretty short lived up in Scotland, I’ve decided to make the most out of every second of it!

Brora Icelandic Mohair Sweater 2

My sweater of choice on these sunny, but still rather cold days has been Brora’s stunning Mohair Icelandic Jumper. It’s not like anything else in my wardrobe, and it feels just perfect to wear right now. I’ve been wearing it mostly over my J. Crew keeper shirt and jeans for a cosy outfit which still looks pulled together!

Brora Icelandic Mohair Sweater 3

I’m just obsessed with the colours in the sweater – the soft, icy grey with the touches of sky blue just look so perfect against the increasingly wintery skies, and I can’t even begin to tell you how cosy it is! Made out of a super kid mohair blend, the jumper is the perfect mix of comfy, cute and I absolutely adore the hint of fluff it has!

Brora Icelandic Mohair Sweater

The Mohair Icelandic Jumper is such a work-horse of a sweater, I have absolutely fallen in love with it! I can’t even tell you how many compliments I’ve received wearing it!

Brora’s Mohair Icelandic Jumper is priced at £119 and it is available here

Thank you so much Brora for lending me the jumper!
