As something of a bottle blonde, I know how important it is to protect your hair. Not only do I highlight my hair, but I blow it dry and straighten it every morning. I know I shouldn’t, I know it’s damaging, but I can’t help it. Without heat styling, my hair is a fuzzy mess, so I’m pretty much shackled to my styling tools. So, in an effort to keep my locks as well maintained as possible, I’ve been turning to Osmo’s Thermal Defense Heat Protector. After washing and conditioning my hair as normal, I liberally spray it with Osmo. I then get to grips with the hairdryer and straighteners as normal. The Thermal Defense is super lightweight, and doesn’t weigh hair down at all. Instead, it leaves it soft and shiny. The best part is that it’s so affordable!

Osmo Thermal Defense is priced at £8.95 and is available here

If, like me, topping up your makeup half way through the day, feels like a bit of a bore, Smashbox has the lipgloss for you! Unlike most of it’s competitors, which keep lips glossy for an hour or so, then disappear off into the ether, Smashbox’s Be Legendary Lip Lacquer is designed to last and last.

Packaged like a regular lipgloss, with a doe foot applicator, you apply just like a regular gloss. It feels smooth and creamy on the lips, and I’m obsessed with the warm pink colour! If you’re looking for a lip colour for the summer, one of the Be Legendary Lip Lacquers might just be it! For the first hour or so, it’s a glossy wash of colour, which is the perfect amplified nude colour. Then, as the day goes on, it wears down to the prettiest stain. It’s a genius idea that keeps you looking groomed all day long, and it is the perfect choice if you’re travelling!

Smashbox Be Legendary Lip Lacquer is priced at £19.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

When it comes to products which multitask, I’m a fan. They appeal to my lazy side, my neat and organised side, and they’re usually fun to boot! So, when I saw Temple Spa’s Power Breakfast I had to give it a shot!

Taking inspiration from the ingredients which we should all be feasting on every morning, depending on how much time you’ve got, you can use the Power Breakfast as a one minute scrub, or a twenty minute mask. The formula is filled with great-for-skin ingredients including oats, honey, fruit and juice to gently dissolve dead skin cells, and polish and brighten skin.

The Power Breakfast has a pleasingly gloopy consistency which really lends itself to the dual use. I’ve been using it a couple of times a week, and having been absolutely loving the results! During the week I tend to use it as a scrub – the oatmeal gives a gentle but thorough exfoliation, whilst at the weekend, I leave it on for around half an hour, letting my skin drink in all the goodness.

Even though my skin can be very delicate, I absolutely love Power Breakfast. It’s perfect for clearing and decongesting skin, and leaving it with a really healthy, natural glow.

Power Breakfast is priced at £25 and is available here.

When I say that I’ve been dying to try out the Paul & Joe beauty line for years, I’m not exaggerating in the slightest. I absolutely love the clothing line, and the beauty has always just looked so pretty and glamorous – it’s exactly what you want to use every morning! When the Moisturising Foundation Primer arrived, I got super excited – I’ve developed quite the thing for primers recently, so I knew I was going to love one which promised hydration and radiance!

Before I even get started on the primer, I have to address the packaging! Like all of Paul and Joe Beauty, some serious thought has been put into the looks! The bottle itself is glass,  decorated with embossed flowers, and has a pump dispenser. It looks like a dream, and it’s so pretty to leave out on my dressing table. Since it’s a pump, the formula stays hygienic, and it’s really easy to control how much you’re using.

I’ve been testing it out for a few days, and I have to say – it’s really impressed me. I only need a single pump of primer to cover my face and neck, and I love the lightweight formula. It disappears into my skin, and leaves a soft radiance which makes foundation look completely natural. It also regulates my skin, meaning I don’t feel dried out and parched by midday. Instead, my makeup stays in place without the need for touchups all day. There are three shades of the primer to choose from – all are pretty light, but give different amounts of lustre and brightness for skin. On days when I’m just running casual errands, I’ve just been smoothing a pump of the primer into moisturised skin instead of using a tinted moisturiser – it evens out skin and gives a healthy glow without looking or feeling heavy.

Paul and Joe Moisturising Foundation Primer is priced at £24.00 and is available here.

When I was at school, Lancome Juicy Tubes were a seriously big deal – you were no-one if you didn’t have at least a tube of the stuff poking out of your blazer. I think I’ve blazed through every colour they have, and I still keep their Lychee shade to hand if I’m after an easy pink glossy lip. So, when I found out Lancome was releasing a whole new take on lipgloss, I just had to try it out!

The brand new Juicy Shakers are available in 14 stunning shades, and are a hybrid of pigment and lip oil, which means you get a pretty lip colour as well as a real kick of moisture. They’re also a perfect choice if you want a product which is going to keep your lips in great condition too!DSC_0558

The packaging is inspired by an old Lancome lipstick which looked like a cocktail shaker, and before you use the glosses, you just give them a good shake. You can see the pigment and oil combine, and the more you shake them, the more intense colour you get. If, like me, you’re going to collect a couple of them, it’s great fun, as they all have different flavours and scents.

When I first got my hands on the two, I figured that they would be super sheer washes of colour, with the same, slightly sticky feel of my beloved Juicy Tubes. I couldn’t be more wrong! Mangoes Wild, especially, is a surprisingly vivid hit of pink-toned red which brightens the complexion, and makes teeth look super white. The feel of the Juicy Shakers is something completely new too!

You apply the Shakers using the sponge applicator tips which are super soft, and let the goodness sink in. The formula is incredibly lightweight, and silky soft thanks to the inclusion of sweet almond oil, omega 3 and cranberry oil. They leave lips feeling silky, with a perfect wash of colour. The lighter of my two (Lemon Explosion) has gone right into my handbag for day-to-day touch ups. It’s a sheer, slightly shimmery peachy-pink and it’s an effortless way to feel pulled together on the go.

I’m just obsessed with the non-sticky gloss and beautiful colours (I’ve already picked up a rather fetching Mint to Be) you’ve got to check these out!

Lancome Juicy Shakers are priced at £18.00 each and are available here (UK) and here (US)
