Repossi

I really don’t wear too much jewelry – a watch and studs pretty much covers it on any given day, but I have been seriously lusting after Repossi’s new collection, featuring a much sought-after ear cuff. The minimalist designs coupled with the unexpected pieces create some serious wow factor, and really elevate the most basic of outfits.

Will I splash the cash? No, probably not, but a girl can dream …

Valentino Smoking Slippers

DSC00402

With the rise in popularity of the smoking slipper, I have sat and ahhhhed and oooohhhhhhed over various offerings from designers: Miu Miu’s velvet and crystal offerings were considered, as were Christian Louboutin with the crazy fun plaid and studs, but these Valentinos just wouldn’t get out of my head. And so, my first shoes of 2013 were purchased. Despite looking like a dainty slipper, they are surpringly solid – leather under lace, sprinkled with teeny-tiny black caviar sparkles which glint in the light.

They feel supremely grown-up, and are a change from my wardrobe of ballerinas. Low-key, with no discernible logos, I can’t wait to wear these with J.Crew Minnie pants and a black cashmere sweater. We have just booked up Spring Break – so they will remain in tissue until then, where I will skip around East Hampton with my lady-shoes on.

Louise Galvin Sacred Locks*

Louise Galvin Sacred Locks*

Louise Galvin is a product which I have always been interested in – they are natural and the all important eco-friendly, but also promise volume and moisture for my processed ends.

First off – these products smell amazing. Not a regular “this is a nice smelling shampoo nice”, but an “Oh my god let me bathe in this forever” kind of a smell. It’s the mandarin which sets the scent apart. Online the brand also sells body lotion and hand and body wash – these are now on my list to try.

Ok, back to the shampoo and conditioners – I love, love, love the packaging – super sleek and easy to use, these perk up my shower room. Both products have pump dispensers which stops wastage and lets me control how much of each I’m using.

The shampoo is slightly thinner than my regular (Kerestase Bain Satin) but 4 pumps and some water and I’m good to go. The conditioner is about 6 pumps as I whack it on from ears to ends.

The results are great – soft hair, more volume and that to-die-for scent. What’s not to love?

Laura Mercier Arabesque

Laura Mercier Arabesque

Heading into spring, I am pretty desperate to shed all the heaviness of winter, and Laura Mercier’s newest collection seems like the best way to do it.

The ballet-inspired shades are chic and wearable, and I can see myself reaching for all three of her newest offerings well into spring. The perfect pink is a hard thing to come by, but I think I might just have found mine.
