Laura Mercier Arabesque

Laura Mercier Arabesque

Heading into spring, I am pretty desperate to shed all the heaviness of winter, and Laura Mercier’s newest collection seems like the best way to do it.

The ballet-inspired shades are chic and wearable, and I can see myself reaching for all three of her newest offerings well into spring. The perfect pink is a hard thing to come by, but I think I might just have found mine.

Dolce and Gabbana Velvet Desire

Dolce and Gabbana Velvet Desire

Within their Velvet Collection of perfumes, Dolce and Gabbana created a range of perfumes inspired by Renaissance Italy. The scent is definitely one which makes a statement.

Before we go any further, I have to admit – I am a gardenia perfume fiend – Chanel, Annick Goutal and Estee Lauder’s Private Collection have all featured on my dressing table, and I consider the flower somewhat of a signature scent.

Dolce and Gabanna’s offering is up amongst my favourites – the scent is heady and luxurious. This isn’t a bottle I splash one before running out the gym. Nope – this is a full-on grown up choice, best worn when dressed up and heading out to somewhere fabulous.

The notes are predominantly gardenia, although tuber rose is also featured prominently in the line-up. Despite the statement the perfume makes, it’s super clean smelling, and has become my go-to throughout the wintry weather.

The perfume is priced at £165.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Guerlain Kajal Khol

Guerlain Kajal Khol

This eyeliner is literally life changing; ok, not life changing, but it is pretty great!

Guerlain brings these out every year, and yes, they are expensive, but these things last for months and months. The colour payoff is great – a silky, inky black which rims the waterline really well! The crayon format of the liner means that the line is smooth and soft looking, making it super-easy to create a smoky eye.

Not only do I love the product, but the packing is sublime. I buy these year after year, and the ribbon and decorations change, but they are the most glamorous eyeliner around

The eyeliner is priced at $36 and available at Sephora.com
