Aveda Nourish-Mint Lip Glaze – Rose Blush*

Aveda Nourish Mint Rose Blush

If you’re anything like me, you’re following New York Fashion Week with something of a stalker-ish fascination. I’ve been updating Style.com somewhat religiously, and if I’ve not been oohing and ahhing over this Fall’s newest collection, I’ve been devouring the beauty looks which have been parading up and down the catwalks. When I saw that the beauty look of Costello Tagliapietra’s show was courtesy of Aveda, I got rather excited.

Aveda Nourish Mint Rose Blush

Rather than a typical, more makeup heavy look, Costello Tagliapietro’s models sported the most stunning luminous look which relied heavily on defined brows and naturally glossy lips courtesy of Aveda’s Nourish-Mint Lip Glaze. The show used the shades Pink Hibiscus and Fire Poppy, but I have the stunning Rose Blush.

Aveda Nourish Mint Rose Blush 1

Aveda’s Nourish-Mint Lip Glaze is perfect if you’re not a gloss-fan. Rather than feeling super gloopy or sticky, Nourish-Mint feels richer and far more like a balm. Whenever I use it, my lips feel incredibly smooth, and I love the finish of the glaze. Rather than feeling like my lips are really shiny, they just have a healthy looking sheen, and I am just obsessed with the colour! Rose Blush is the most stunning, cool toned pink, which has a your-lips-but-better effect.

Since the glaze feels thicker than a typical gloss, I feel like it wears for a longer time too! I easily get 3 hours of wear before I need to reapply, and have I mentioned the yummy minty scent?!

Aveda’s Nourish-Mint Lip Glaze costs £16.00 and is available here.

Aveda Balancing Skincare Facial

If you’re heading into town tomorrow, run, don’t walk to your nearest Aveda counter. Until January 31st, all Aveda counters are offering free balancing skincare facials. I got to enjoy mine tonight and it was heavenly.

When I arrived a little early, I was immediately seen to with a hot cup of Aveda tea (who knew!?) and I answered a few questions about my skin type and what I wanted out of the facial. Then I was tucked up in a rather comfy chair as my facial began. Since I have sensitive skin, I chose to inject moisture and gain a some radiance.

Over 30 minutes I was cleansed, toned and masked up, and I even got to enjoy  hand and arm massage. It was absolutely heavenly, and it was better than a lot of facials I’ve had to pay for! My skin feels incredibly soft, and, if you’re in Edinburgh, Jenners will be opening up a treatment room where you can enjoy even more luxurious treatments really soon – as you can imagine, I can’t wait to book up!
