Clarins Crayon Khol – 10 True Violet*

Clarins Crayon Khol 10

The very idea of purple eyeliner sounds a little ‘out there’ for someone whose makeup palette is as neutral as mine. On a daily basis I tend to favour sooty blacks and dark browns, but Clarins’ Crayon Khol in 10 True Violet is an absolute beauty!

I absolutely adore Clarins’ Crayon Khols. They have quite a dry texture, and an amazing colour payoff! To use, I simply swipe the pencil along the inside of my upper waterline, and I’m good to go! 10 True Violet is a surprisingly neutral and flattering colour to choosing, and I’ve been reaching for it daily! The cool tone of the Crayon Khol makes eyes look bright and alert, and the colour is dark enough to give the perfect amount of definition.

As if the Crayon Khol isn’t perfect enough, I’m obsessed with the little bristle brush which is on the opposite end of the pencil. Unlike the usual useless spongy tips most beauty companies include, the brush means it’s incredibly easy to blend out the liner. It’s a complete god-send on days when I’m getting ready at the gym and I’ve forgotten an eyeshadow – all I need to do is draw a little on my lids, then blend away. Perfect!

Clarins’ Crayon Khol in 10 True Violet is priced at £17 and are available here (UK) and here (US)

Clarins Rouge Eclat 21 – Tawny Rose*

Clarins Rouge Eclat 21

It really does feel like Autumn is on the way. Starbucks is already selling pumpkin spice lattes, and the temperatures have already taken a downturn. I don’t mind though, it’s probably my favourite season, as I get to dig out my cashmere sweaters and scarves and feel snuggy-warm day and night.

As Autumn gets all jewel-toned, I like to change up my makeup a little. My go-to pinky nude lips seem a little blah when everything is golden, so when I saw Clarins’ new Tawny Rose Rouge Eclat, released as part of their stunning Fall collection, I just knew I had to try it!

Packaged in Clarin’s signature glossy golden packaging, the Rouge Eclat lipsticks are really a thing of beauty. Inside the tube the lipstick is angled, so application without a lip brush is an absolute breeze! The formula itself is absolutely beautiful – it feels nourishing to wear thanks to the inclusion of Vitamin E as well as 100% plant waxes including mimosa, jojoba and sunflower provide instant comfort to dehydrated lips.

21 Tawny Rose is the most beautiful amplified nude, which is just perfect for wearing right now. The brown undertones of the lipstick means it feels both very of the moment as well as classically pretty. The formula is buttery smooth and just glides on. I apply straight from the bullet, and the colour applies evenly and smoothly. The colour payoff is great – I easily get about three hours of wear before I feel the need to reapply.

Clarins Rouge Eclat 21 – Tawny Rose is priced at £19.50 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipstick – 22 Rouge Orange*

  Clarins Rouge Eclat 22

Mondays can be a bit dull, so I thought I would share one of Clarins’ newest Rouge Eclat lipsticks in 22 Rouge Orange.

Clarins Rouge Eclat 22 1

A new release as part of Clarins’ 22 Rouge Orange is a stunning warm orange-red which is just perfec tif your looking to warm up your neutral makeup looks for fall!

Clarins Rouge Eclat 22 2

Packaged in Clarins’ signature gold bullets, 22 Rouge Orange is an absolute gorgeous shade. The rich warmth of the colour is incredibly flattering, and a great option if you tend to reach for deep reds. I can only imagine that this is a redhead’s dream shade too! The formula feels creamy, and almost balm like to apply, and the colour stays vibrant for over three hours without fading or creasing.

Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipstick is priced at £19.50 and is available here

Clarins Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow – 07 Carbon*

Clarins Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Matte Eyeshadow 07 Carbon

So, some good news for a Sunday evening, Clarins have finally released their gorgeous new Autumn range, and I have to say, it’s a complete winner! The colours are perfectly muted and can be put fully to use for both day and evening makeup looks.

Clarins Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Matte Eyeshadow 07 Carbon 1

Rather than releasing a whole bunch of new products, Clarins seem to have released new colours in some of their best loved products.

Clarins Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Matte Eyeshadow 07 Carbon 4

I first fell in love with Clarins’ Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadows last year, when they were a new release, and they are a product I reach for on a seriously regular basis. The formula is beautifully soft, and lends itself to being used for everything from an eye base, to a shadow and even a liner!

Clarins Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Matte Eyeshadow 07 Carbon 2

My newest shade is 07 Carbon, an absolutely stunning black which feels like it’s been dusted by fairy sparkle! Packaged in an easy to use screw-lidded pot, the formula is soft and easy to work with, especially since I tend to use this shade as a powder liner.

Clarins Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Matte Eyeshadow 07 Carbon 3

After applying my base shadows, all I need to do is dip an angled brush into the pot and swipe it across my lash line. The colour payoff is incredible – a dark, smoky black which glints and glitters in the light without feeling too garish. There is almost no fall out, and once I’ve applied the shadow, it stays put until I take it off myself.

Clarins’ Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow is priced at £19.00 and is available here.

Clarins Eyebrow Pencil – 02*

Clarins Eyebrow Pencil 02

I think that Clarins must keep their eyebrow products for their Autumn collections – I’m still in love with their Perfect Eyes & Brows palette from last year (see my review here). This season’s offering is a bit lower maintenance, with a renewal of their Eyebrow Pencil.

Clarins Eyebrow Pencil 02 1

Clarins’ Eyebrow Pencil is perfect if you’re after a natural amount of definition. Packaged in a rather similar manner to their eyeliners, One end of the pencil contains the colour, whilst the other is topped with a stiff spoolie brush. For best effects, I tend to apply the pencil with feather light brush strokes, then brush through with the spoolie.

Clarins Eyebrow Pencil 02 2

The pencil is pigmented enough that a few strokes give brows both colour and definition, and the cool tone of the pencil keeps it looking natural. As part of the Autumn collection, Clarins are releasing two colours – 01 Soft Blonde and 02 Brown (pictured) so no matter what your colouring, your brows can look amazing!

Clarins Eyebrow Pencil will be priced at £17.00 and will be released soon.
