Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfectors

Whenever Clarins release a new collection, I get super excited. They usually include a new product, and for Spring, they haven’t disappointed with the release of the new Instant Light Lip Balm Perfectors.

If you’ve used Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfectors, you’re probably as obsessed with them as I am! The new Instant Light Lip Balm Perfectors are a very handbag-friendly version of the cult classics, packaged in a chic little tube. There is a choice of 6 stunning colours (seriously, it’s impossible to choose a favourite) which leave lips with a glossy tint and a hit of moisture. The formulas of the balms is really something special. Like their tube predecessors, they smell delicious and the inclusion of mango and shea butters mean that they deliver on moisture and hydration for lips.

05 Red is probably the most colour saturated of the Lip Balms. It’s a gorgeous pink based red which is perfect if you’re looking to add a little colour into your day-to-day looks. It’s also the perfect ‘starter red’ – the pinky base tones means it is incredibly flattering to all skin tones, and unlike more orange based hues, it makes your teeth look pearly white.

04 Orange looks super pigmented in the tube, but when applied it glides on to be just the most perfect coral. This is just aching to be worn with a golden tan.

06 Rosewood is an absolutely beautiful pink toned nude. This is definitely a HG item for me – it’s a ‘your lips but better’ shade which feels so pretty and polished to wear. I like the fact that I can have a subtle nod to the 90s lip which is so popular now without going full-on Kylie Jenner. The subtle gloss keeps the lip balm from feeling too formal, so it’s a perfect choice for pairing with a slightly more dramatic eye.

03 My Pink is another offering by Clarins which is a completely personal shade. When applied the balm works with your body’s pH balance to create a pink which is completely unique to you! When I slicked the balm on it turned an adorable candy-pink shade which was super cute. When my mother wrestled it out of me, it turned a deeper plum on her. It’s a super fun option, and like the other balms, it stays glossy for upto 4 hours of wear!

Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfectors were released on Monday, are priced at £18.00 each and are available here (UK) and here (US)

I had to pop into Boots at the weekend to do one of those rather boring shops – cotton wool, tissues, you get the idea – it was wholly uninspiring. So when I was pottering past the Clarins counter and their Instant Light Lip Perfectors caught my eye, I was hooked!

I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to get round to grabbing a couple of these, but I am so glad I finally have. The range comprising of six relatively muted (all very beautiful) shades which cover all the nude bases. The tubes are soft plastic, and you can squeeze them to get the formula through the little furry tops. The Perfectors have the dreamiest of formulas – they smell like vanilla, but thankfully don’t seem to have a flavor, and they have the perfect amount of shine.

I’ve been wearing them both daily (the lighter is 01 Rose Shimmer and the pinker is 04 Petal Shimmer) and they are as pretty used over lipsticks as they are on their own. Since I’m a big fan of natural lips anyway, these are a complete godsend of a product! These are absolutely perfect if you’re looking for something pretty for summer – they feel more like a balm, and there isn’t a touch of stickiness.

The Perfectors costs £18.00 and are available here.

New for this summer, Clarins has joined the chunky lip pencil party with their new Lip Balm Crayons.

The crayons are available in a range of 6 colours which range from a rich coffee to a super fun pink which reacts to your lips pH to give you a unique lip colour.

06 Soft Coffee is the darkest of the crayons, but don’t let that scare you – when applied it’s a glossy, warm toned brown which is perfect for darker skins and tans. The finish of the crayon is beautifully glossy, and it feels so nourishing to wear!

05 Delicious plum is a warm, pinky brown, which again has a great amount of shine when worn. This is definitely an amplified nude, and it just makes me feel so polished when I wear it.

03 Tender Coral is a lip colour which is just made for summer. The formula has a subtle golden shimmer running through it, and the coral is a beautiful change from the pinks I regularly reach for. Like the other crayons, 03 has a perfect glossy sheen, and the colour can easily built up if you need to amp up your lip.

01 My Pink is possibly my favourite, purely down to the fun factor of it. Like the other crayons, this feels perfectly balmy, and the pointed tip means application is an absolute breeze, but what sets 01 apart is no-one is going to be rocking the same lipcolour as you! Reacting with your lips pH balance, the balm gives you a personal colour. Mine is a gorgeous light pink which is perfect for day-to-day wear, and this hasn’t left my makeup bag since it popped through the doors!

If, like me you’re keen on sheer colours and a glossy finish, you should definitely check out the crayons. The colours are absolutely beautiful, and the balmy consistency feel absolutely perfect for the summer!
