Clarins Gentle Peeling Smooth Away Cream*

Since Sunday evenings are my at-home spa nights, I thought a Monday morning would be the perfect time to share my newest skincare addition – Clarins’ Gentle Peeling Smooth Away Cream. Something of a mouthful of a title, but oh my, what a game changer!

I should probably start this review with something of a disclaimer – even though I have, what at times, feels like the world’s most sensitive skin, I’m an avid exfoliator user. I’m not quite sure why, but if a cleanser has a grainy particle or two, I’m pretty much guaranteed to love it. Clarins’ Gentle Peeling Cream, is however, completely different.

Rather than my usual scrubs which have rough and grainy textures, the Peeling Cream feels ridiculously rich, and creamy thanks to the natural clay in the formula, and it’s also got the prettiest sheen. To apply, I apply a thick-ish layer to freshly cleansed skin and leave on for a few minutes. The formula itself doesn’t completely dry, and instead of removing it with a clean flannel, like I normally would, I sweep my fingers upwards, rolling the formula off. It’s a slightly odd sensation, and completely different from anything I’m used to, but oh my! The Gentle Peeling leaves skin ridiculously soft – honestly, it’s like nothing I’ve ever felt before! Not only does my face feel incredible after using the cream, but it’s not red or irritated like it usually is after an exfoliation. Instead, it’s so, so soft, smooth and ready to go. I’m in love!

Clarins’ Gentle Peeling Smooth Away Cream is priced at £26.00 and is available here

Clarins Spring 2016 Rouge Eclat Age Defying Lipstick – Pink Blossom 25*

I know it’s probably super obvious just from looking at the site, but Clarins’ Spring 2016 makeup collection is blowing me away. I’ve been wearing the products pretty much non-stop since they popped through the letterbox last week, and I’ve been nothing but impressed!

Keeping with my resolve to wear some more colour on my lips this year, Clarins’ new Rouge Eclat Age Defying Lipstick seem like the absolute perfect option. With four new shades for Spring, if you’re after a flattering pink lip, look no further!

In the tube, Pink Blossom looks like a quite a saturated rose shade, so I was quite surprised at how glossy the formula is! Like all Clarins lip products, the lipstick smells divine, and feels like a balm to apply. There isn’t a hint of dryness or stickiness; instead the formula just glides on, leaving lips looking glossy and hydrated. The colour itself is incredibly pretty – a slightly blue toned pink which leaves skin looking healthy and teeth looking lovely and white. Because of the lightweight formula, it’s not the longest-wearing lipstick, so I get about 2 hours of wear per application.

Clarins Rouge Eclat Age Defying Lipstick are priced at £19.50 and are available here

Clarins Spring 2016: Ombre Iridescent Cream to Powder Eyeshadows*

DSC_0077

Oooh, can you believe that we’re already hitting Spring makeup collections? We might be cuddled up in cashmere, hiding from torrential rain, but Clarins is already treating us to the prettiest makeup which is designed to lighten up complexions.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who loves to play around with eye looks in the Spring, and Clarins are completely spoiling me with a choice of four brand new cream-to-powder formulas which come in the dreamiest of colours.

06 Silver Green, is a really beautiful cool toned khaki, which is shot through with silver shimmer. Depending on the light, the shadow flashes as either colour, and it creates a stunning multi-dimensional look.

The formula of the Ombre Iridescent shadows is dreamy – they feel soft and creamy to apply, and the colour payoff is just perfection. Mixed with a slightly darker shadow for definition, Silver Green is such a lovely choice for a spring-ready look.

I have to admit that I got rather excited when I saw that the shade 07 Silver Plum had come through the letterbox. I’ve got something of an obsession with mauve-brown shadows as they are super flattering to my colouring.

07 Silver Plum is absolutely everything I hoped it would be! Like Silver Plum, the formula is a complete dream, and the shadow really sparks up depending on the light. I been loving the shadow smoked out of my lash line. The shadow’s purple leanings are a lovely update to my everyday eye look, and I can’t wait for my next evening out where I’m planning a whole smoky look around the shadow!

Clarins new Spring 2016 collection is a really great little pick-me-up for this time of year, and I can’t wait to share my other little gems with you!

Clarins Ombre Iridescent Cream to Powder Eyeshadows will be priced at £19.00 each and will be available here.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil*

DSC_1288

Last year, I think it was for Clarins’ Spring collection, the brand released a completely new lip product – their Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil, and it completely flew off the shelves! After seeing how popular the duo were, they’ve become part of Clarins’ permanent line up.

DSC_1277

Available in two shades (01 Honey shown and 02 Raspberry) the Comfort Oil sits squarely between a gloss and a balm – leaving lips glossy, but still nourishing them thanks to a formula rich in Jojoba and Mirabelle oils. It’s just perfect for this horribly cold, wintry weather, as it has to be the least sticky or drying lip product I think I’ve used! I just love the sweet candy scent and the subtle gleam it gives to lips.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is priced at £18.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Clarins Joli Rouge – Delicious Pink*

Clarins Jolie Rouge Delicious PInk 2

Since the weather has taken a turn for the worse, I’ve felt the need to up the amount of colour I wear on a daily basis. Wearing brighter clothes feels kind of wrong, so more saturated makeup tones are just perfect! I’ve fallen absolutely in love with the formulas of Clarins’ new Joli Rouge Lipsticks. They manage to strike the perfect balance of balmy, and the smooth texture means applying colour is an absolute dream!

Clarins Jolie Rouge Delicious PInk 1

Delicious Pink is one of those must-have shades, as it sits squarely between a pink and a red. For someone like me, who tends to automatically reach for the nearest nude, Delicious Pink is the perfect injection of colour. Thanks to the lipstick’s bang-on formula, I can apply it straight from the tube, as the colour applies completely evenly. Even when I’ve been out for a coffee or a meal, I get around four hours of wear before I feel the need to reapply, and I love the subtle, glossy finish.

Clarins Joli Rouge in Delicious Pink is priced at £19.50 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
