Clarisonic Luxe Cashmere Cleanse Brush Head*

Clarisonic Luxe Cashmere Cleanse Brush Head

If there is a gadget I don’t think I could live without, it’s my Clarisonic. I’ve had one on the go for at least 4 years, and I absolutely swear by it. Previously though, since my skin can get quite sensitised, I didn’t want to use it everyday for fear of over exfoliation.

Happily though, Clarisonic have completely solved this problem with their Luxe Cashmere Cleanse brush head. Like all Clarisonic brushes, this just snaps on to the base, and the bristles are far longer and softer than other brush heads offered by the brand. Cleansing with cashmere sounds terribly luxurious, but weirdly the brush really does feel as soft as the fluffy stuff! I’ve been using the Cashmere brush in the mornings, with a small squeeze of foaming cleanser and it’s such a lovely way to wake my skin up! I feel very refreshed after using the brush head, and I feel like it creates a good, smooth canvas for my makeup.

Clarisonic’s Luxe Cashmere Cleanse Brush Head is priced at £25.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US).

Clarisonic Aria*

Clarisonic Aria

As a rule, I try to keep my life as simple as possible – my wardrobes are colour-coded, my books are alphabetised, and I try to keep my beauty regimes paired down too. I’m a staunch believer in that if you over-complicate things, your skin will just rebel, so one of the things which I feel like I literally couldn’t live without is my Clarisonic Aria.

Clarisonic Aria 1

In case you haven’t heard about Clarisonic, they manufacture the very best cleansing brushes you can find. There are a number of models to choose from depending on your skin type, what you need the brush to do and your budget. What they all have in common is that they use sonic technology to clean your skin up to 6 times better than you could possibly hope to do using your hands and a flannel. What I love about the Aria model in particular is, if like me you have sensitive skin, there are 3 different speed settings which encompass slow, medium and fast, that you can choose which best suits your complexion.

Clarisonic Aria 4

I tend to use my Aria with it’s regular brush head around 2-3 times a week, and if I’ve had a heavier makeup day (think proper foundation) I can’t wait to cleanse at the end of the day. After removing my eye makeup, I dampen the Clarisonic under running water, then squeeze a little cleanser on. Then I get to work using the brush all over my face, neck and décolletage. The sonic motion of the brush means that foaming cleansers come to life, and you can actually feel your skin getting beautifully clean. Most of the time I use the 1st and 2nd speed settings on my face, and ramp up to fast for everywhere else. When I use my Aria, I can see results immediately. My skin completely smoothes out, and the little bumps I sometimes get around my chin completely disappear. I also think my face looks and feels so much ‘glower’ too – it definitely gets rid of any dead skin which might be dulling my complexion.

Clarisonic Aria 2

The Aria might just be Clarisonic’s handiest brush too! Not only does the brush come with a stand which tucks neatly away in my bathroom to allow the Aria to dry hygienically, but the charger is USB powered. It’s amazingly convenient, and it means no matter where I am, an hour or two plugged into my laptop, and I have full juice. The Aria’s battery life is amazing too! I normally get a couple of weeks between charges, so it’s super easy to pop into my gym bag if I’m going to shower there!

Clarisonic Aria 3

As if the Aria isn’t amazing enough (seriously, it’s pretty life changing) Clarisonic tuck a travel sized bottle of the Refreshing Gel Cleanser in the box to help you get started. The foaming cleanser is designed to be used with all skin types, and it feels super gentle to use. There isn’t a strong scent, and it really cleanses super effectively. Honestly, if you haven’t tried out a Clarisonic yet, run, don’t walk to your nearest counter. They make such a difference to your skin, and if you live in a city, these are an absolute must have!

The Clarisonic Aria is priced at £155.00 and is available here

Clarisonic Deep Pore Decongesting Solution*

Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleansing Set

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve really been trying to get my skin looking as good as possible. It’s been beautiful weather, and when it’s warm, I can’t stand wearing a ton of makeup. I much prefer to be able to dab on a little blush, gloss and go! Thankfully, Clarisonic have come to the rescue with their incredible Deep Pore Decongesting Solution made up of a Mia 2 brush, Deep Pore brush head, Deep Pore Cleanser and Deep Pore Mask.

Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleanser Brush

I’ve been completely obsessed with Clarisonic brushes for a few years now. I got my first one from Sephora, and I’ve never looked back. When I was living in Dubai I even had to buy a new one to work with the plugs!  Using the brush with your regular foaming cleanser really gets skin clean – the brush uses sonic technology to get pores super clean, and it feels super gentle to use too! I reach for mine 4-5 times a week, usually at night, and when I wake up my skin always feels so soft and glowy! It works as an exfoliator too, meaning it’s one less thing to worry about.

Clarisonis Deep Pore Cleanser Brush 1

What I love about Clarisonic brushes is the fact that you can change the brush heads to suit your skin. The Deep Pore set contains a Deep Pore Brush Head which works to dislodge oil and dirt in pores, allowing them to shrink and become less noticeable. It definitely feels more thorough than the sensitive or regular brush heads I’ve used, and it’s incredible for making blackheads completely disappear. I like to use it around my nose and chin, where I’m more prone to breakouts. If you suffer from oily or acne-prone skin, you have to try it!

Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleanser

Within the set, you get two full size skin products too! The first, Deep Pore Daily Cleanser is perfect if you’re looking to get oily skin back to looking its best. It smells fresh and almost lemony, and it has been specially formulated for oily skin and it also helps to reduce the size of pores. Since my skin errs on the delicate side, I’ve been using the cleanser 2-3 times per week on days I’m feeling a little greasy and it really works to balance out the skin without feeling too harsh.

Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleanser Mask

Twice a week I’ve been using the Decongesting Clay Mask to remove any impurities. Unlike other clay masks I’ve tried (and there are a lot!) it doesn’t have a scent, and it feels wonderfully cooling when I apply it on slightly damp skin. I apply a thick layer over my entire face and leave it for up to an hour to let it fully harden. It does tingle a little when first applied, but it dies down within a few minutes, and it’s not too painful – it just shows it’s working!

The Decongesting Set is absolutely perfect for getting my skin looking its best before summer really hits. I’m in love with the way my skin looks and feels after using the system! It’s a complete must for summer!

The set costs £140.00 and is available here.

I’m one of those people who like to feel squeaky clean – I spend far too long in the shower every morning and night, and my face is no different.
