Diego Dalla Palma Red Passion Nail Varnish*

Diego Dalla Palma Red Passion

So I’m not sure there are many things more glamorous than a shiny red manicure. I usually reserve mine for periods when my woeful nails are looking there best, because no matter how popular crazy nail art and colours have become, I’m not sure anything is more dramatic than a good red!

Diego Dalla Palma Red Passion 1

Diego Dalla Palma has completely blown it out of the water with their stunning Red Passion. The varnish is a true tomato red with orange undertones which feels super fresh and bright, and basically perfect for spring! Whenever I do venture into red-tip-territory, I make sure to wear a pretty neutral palette – camels and silver greys look especially good with the shade!

The formula of the nail varnish is dreamy – it applied evenly and opaquely in the first coat, and it’s just out of habit that I used two! The polish was easy to control and work with, meaning a tidy application which quickly touch dried to a high shine. The wear time of the polishes a great – I’ve been sporting red toes for 4 days without even a sniff of a chip!

Diego Dalla Palma Nail Polishes are priced at £9.50 each and are available from Marks and Spencer Beauty Halls

Diego Dalla Palma Nail Varnish – Violet Underground*

The sun might be shining right now, and I’m getting awfully excited over the brights of new summer collections, but there isn’t anything quite as glamorous as a dark, glossy manicure.

I’ve never tried Diego Dall Palma products before, but from what I gather they are a seriously luxe Italian brand, and you can find them at the new and improved Marks and Spencer beauty stores.

I’m completely obsessed with the shade Violet Underground which is a stunning burgundy. It’s a close dupe for Chanel’s iconic Rouge Noir, but thankfully without the formula issues! After using a base coat, I applied two thin coats of Violet Underground, and I was seriously impressed! The formula is creamy, and incredibly easy to use. If you were in a pinch, this could definitely work with a single coat! There was no streaking, just gorgeous opaque shiny colour which looks super chic on my short nails (it even makes them look almost intentional!).

Diego Dalla Palma polishes are priced at £9.50 each and are available from Marks & Spencer Beauty Stores.
