Since it’s Sunday evening (where did the week go?) I thought I would share my manicure choice for the week – Essie’s fab new colour Fall in Line.
Part of the gorgeous Fall campaign, Fall in line is a stunning dusky khaki shade which is like no other shade in my collection. This season, I feel like Essie has really stepped up their formula game. This applied like a dream – perfectly creamy and opaque in a single coat. For the swatches I used two and it dries to an incredibly glossy finish. I am absolutely in love the shade – it feels chic on short nails, and it works perfectly The Perfect Cover Up (review to come) for a tonal but not quite matching mani-pedi.
The polish costs £7.99 and is available at Boots.
I’m a big fan of Essie polishes, they always have the best colour selections, and the formulas are hard to beat. Now that you can pick them up in Boots or Superdrug, my collection has grown to far larger than I would like to admit! For Spring and Summer, Essie have released a new range for Spring and Summer which is the most perfect mix of soft pastels, a nude and a punchy pink-red (stay tuned …)
The polish I’ve been wearing this week has been Truth or Flare, which is described as a vintage blue denim, and it’s the most beautiful cornflower blue with a slightly grey undertone. It’s such a great alternative to my regular ballerina pinks and nudes, and I’ve been wearing it with jeans and oversize grey cashmere sweaters, and so many people have been asking me what colour I’m wearing. To get the shade fully opaque, I used three thin coats, but it dried quickly and evenly with no bubbling. A topcoat of my beloved Dior Gel Topcoat has sealed the colour, and I’ve had it on for three days without a chip in sight!
The polish costs £7.99 and is available from Superdrug and Boots
