Urban Retreat The Mask*

Urban Retreat The Mask 2

Whenever I’m feeling a little stressed, my fail-safe course of action is to run a hot bath, whack on a face mask and find a book and turn on some music. After an hour or so, I feel 100 times better, and my skin definitely feels the benefit. The mask which I’ve been using recently is from Urban Retreat’s new skincare range, and is simply called THE Mask. I love the slick packaging – the tube is a very generous 75ml, and I love the quilted pattern on it too!

The mask itself is just a joy to use. After cleansing and removing any eye makeup, I spritz a little spring water on my face to moisten everything up, and then spread on a generous layer of the mask. It feels very cooling and calming when wet, and it has a beautiful soft floral fragrance, with geranium as the strongest note. It has a lovely lightweight feel too – it doesn’t feel too heavy, and when it dries, you don’t feel your face cracking underneath it. To help with drawing impurities from the skin, Australian Kaolin is included in the formula, as well as Glycerin and Vitamin E which help to moisturize the skin as well as undo the damage from UV and Free Radicals. I tend to pop the mask on once a week, and it really helps to even out my skin tone as well as helping with any blemishes I’m suffering with. Once the mask is fully dried, I like to wash it off with a hot flannel which also helps with exfoliation.

The mask is priced at £35.00 and is available here.

If you’re having one of those dull skin days, I would seriously recommend grabbing a tube of Radical Skincare’s Instant Revitalizing Mask.

Packaged like all of the brand’s skincare in a chic white tube with a silver pump which come up as you turn it, and it smells divine! Rather than applying then allowing the formula to dry, Radical’s mask is incredible – it’s filled with oxygen, which as it is applied, and then left on the skin, it sort of foams and bubbles. It’s the most fun feeling as it works it’s magic, it just feels so clean and refreshing! I usually leave the mask on for around 10-15 minutes, or until the foaming has subsided. Once I wash it off, my skin feels like I’ve visited a spa – it’s smooth and pores are completely invisible thanks to the acai berry, grapeseed extract, and coffee-berry extract in the mask. As instructed, I use the mask, on average twice a week, and I follow it up with the brand’s serum and moisturizer.

The mask is priced at £40.00 and is available from SpaceNK

A couple of weeks ago I read that a vast majority of us are using skincare which is formulated with those a bit older in mind. View Post
