Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye*

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Eye 1

I’m a big eye-creams kind of a girl. I’ve worn them pretty much consistently since I I was about 18 as I’m paranoid about preventing crows feet. One cream which has been a recurring staple in my stash, and that’s my current favourite choice is Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye. It’s part of the iconic Midnight Recovery range, and it’s absolutely everything yyou could want in an eye cream!

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Eye

I’ve been applying the Midnight Recovery Eye every night after massaging a couple of drops of the Midnight Recovery Concentrate into my skin. Like most Kiehls products, the Midnight Recovery Eye doesn’t contain any scents or perfumes, which means it’s great, if, like me you have sensitive skin.

The Midnight Recovery Eye has the perfect consistency for me – it feels quite rich, and you only need a tiny squeeze of the formula for each eye. I like to concentrate the cream around the outer eye area, massaging it in with my ring finger.

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Eye 3

It feels incredibly nourishing and calming to use, and my skin is wonderfully hydrated, rather than feeling overloaded or greasy. The formula contains Butcher’s Broom, Squalane, Evening Primrose and Lavender which work to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I love the fact that it just disappears overnight, leaving my skin looking and feeling soft and soothed.

Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer*

With the change of the seasons, I can also feel a real change in my skin. I can’t get away with summer’s lightweight moisturisers thanks to time spent passing in and out of central heating and cold winds, so I’ve been looking for a way to pamper my skin a little bit more than normal. Kiehl’s have made this incredibly easy with their Skin Rescuer.

Kiehls Skin Rescuer 1

As the name suggests, Skin Rescuer is a complete SOS for anyone who needs a little TLC, and since my skin has been feeling awfully dry recently, I couldn’t wait to try it out! If you have normal or oily skin, the Skin Rescuer can be used as a regular moisturiser, although since I need a tonne of hydration, I apply it before my regular cream. I love the formula’s soft, herbal scent, and the texture is surprisingly rich and nourishing. My skin completely drinks the formula up, and there isn’t a trace of it by the time I get round to applying my second cream.

The Skin Rescuer is designed to basically be your wintertime must-have! It combats everything from redness to signs of stress and fatigue, thanks to a formula rich in Rosa Gallica which works to stop inflammation, Mannose which strengthens skin, and Camomile to soothe and comfort. For someone like me, the cream is an absolute god-send! Applying it before my regular moisturiser means that redness is my skin tone is effectively reduced, which means I can even ease up on how much foundation or concealer I need to use. In addition to it’s soothing properties, it also works to amazingly well to combat breakouts.

Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer is priced at £29.50 and is available here (UK) and here (US)

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate*

Kiehl's Midnight Concentrate

Kiehl’s are one of those companies which just knock skincare right out of the park. Their Ultra Facial Cream has been on constant rotation for me for years, and more recently I’ve fallen in love with the Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

Kiehl's Midnight Concentrate 1

Packaged in a beautiful deep blue glass bottle complete with dropper, the Midnight Recovery Concentrate is designed to replenish skin’s moisture and recover radiance. All of this in a single night? Rather impressive!

Kiehl's Midnight Concentrate 2

After my nightly cleansing, I pat a few drops of the Concentrate into my face, neck and décolletage. I love the light, serum like texture which doesn’t feel too heavy or like it will clog skin. It has a lovely light, slightly herbal scent which feels rather spa-appropriate. My skin completely drinks the Concentrate up, and it’s lovely to use an overnight treatment which doesn’t feel thick or greasy. Instead, my skin just feels plumped and well hydrated. The magic, though, really happens overnight, and I wake up with skin which looks and feels as if I’ve had a facial. Since using the Concentrate, my pores have completely disappeared, and my skin tone has really evened out. I also find that during the day my skin doesn’t feel dry or dried out. As if all of my praises weren’t enough, Mark Ronson has also just declared his undying love for the Concentrate – so you may need to hide it from your Mister!

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is priced at £36.00 and is available here.
