For me, the most important part of a summer beauty regime is getting clear glowing skin. Having a healthy glow is pretty hard to beat, and I love just needing a swipe of bronzer before I head out, rather than having to dab on a whole bunch of concealers and foundations.
Philosophy’s new Renewed Hope in a Jar is the perfect summer moisturiser for a whole host of reasons. Primarily, I love the light consistency which doesn’t feel like it’s too heavy for daily use. After cleansing and tong, I just need to smooth a finger-full of the moisturiser over my face, neck and décolletage, and it sinks in absolutely effortlessly. The cream has an almost whipped consistency, and it feels lovely and soothing to apply (especially since I tend to keep mine in the fridge!)
Renewed Hope in a Jar is a new take on the original Hope in a Jar, and the cream is just full of improvements! It has an incredible formula which promises to retexturize skin with improvement in fine lines and pore visibility, provide all-day hydration with dewy smoothness and give skin that much coveted healthy glow.
Renewed Hope In A Jar has a blend of three alpha hydroxy acids that work in different penetrations and layers within the skin. The three AHAs help to re-texturize skin, but in a gentle manner, and even though I have sensitive skin, I didn’t suffer from any tingling or irritation. Instead, my skin just feels calm and smooth – perfect!
Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar is priced at £35.50 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
I really can’t believe we’re in June already – 2015 seems to be absolutely racing by, and I cannot believe it’s almost half the year gone already! June is also my birthday month, and as my mother keeps kindly reminding me, I’m one year closer to 30 (eek)! So, in attempt to at least look younger than my 25 years, I’ve been turning to Philosophy’s fabulous Renewed Hope in a Jar Eye Cream.
I’ve not really dabbled in Philosophy face creams before – I’m usually too distracted by their bubble baths to notice, but I’ve been seriously impressed with this chic little white jar.
Promising to refresh and revive the eye area, I’ve been turning to Renewed Hope in a Jar Eye every evening before bed. To use, I simply tap a little of the formula around my orbital bones using my ring fingers. If I’m suffering from hot or tired eyes, I also use my rose quartz butterfly to help the cream sink in.
I’m kind of obsessed with the texture of Renewed Hope in a Jar Eye. It has a light yet almost balmy feel which is perfect for all night hydration, and when I apply the cream, there isn’t a hint of irritation for my sensitive skin. Instead, my delicate under-eye area feels calm and soothed, and when I wake up, puffiness is reduced which means I’m reaching for my concealer less than before, and that’s always a good thing!
Philosophy’s Renewed Hope in a Jar Eye is priced at £29.50 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
