Sisley Phyto Twists are quickly becoming some of my most used makeup products. The combination of perfect, easy to wear colours, winning formulas and super simple packaging is just too tempting, meaning I reach for them almost daily!
One of my newest additions is the Sisley Phyto Eye Twist in Steel. Packaged in the brand’s signature eye catching zebra print, I can’t tell you how easy these are to find in my makeup bag! The crayon itself feels pleasingly chunky in the hand, and the pointed nib means it’s easy to control how I use the Eye Twist.
On a day-to-day basis, I’ve been using the crayon as a liner. The dark grey colour of Steel gives the perfect amount of definition for a casual look, when swiped in my waterline. For days when I want my eyes to have a little more ‘pop,’ the Phyto Twist makes it so easy. A few swipes of the crayon above my lash line and on my lid, easily smudge into a flattering smoky grey, which looks like I’ve put in some serious effort. The formula feels creamy to apply, but once it’s on, it stays put all evening! I love the cool toned colour, and the subtle shimmer just feels so sophisticated!
Sisley Phyto Eye Twist is currently priced at £26.10 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
I really think Autumn has to be my favourite season – it’s just so beautiful to see all the leaves changing colour, and I’m just obsessed with the golden light we’re getting at the moment. So, I couldn’t resist trying Sisley’s Phyto-Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow in Gold, which might just be one of the most stunning eyeshadows I’ve ever seen!
Packaged in a slick little black compact, Sisley’s Phyto-Ombre Eyeshadow is a hybrid gel formation which gives the benefits of both cream and powder formulas in one. The result of this, is an eyeshadow that’s super-soft, incredibly pigmented and really stays put!
Applying the Phyto-Ombre Eclat is really just a dream! I love to apply a touch to the inner corners of my eyes when I’m wearing a neutral eye look. The flash of metallic is really beautiful, and it makes an otherwise mundane look feel rather special. For even more formal occasions, the Gold when blended over the lid with a rich chocolate-y brown shadow looks incredibly luxe!
The formula of the Phyto-Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow is absolute perfection – it feels silky smooth to the touch, and the colour payoff is incredible! The shadow is such a great staple due to it’s versatility – a soft wash of the shadow gives lids an almost candle-lit glow, but it’s so easily build-able, you can easily achieve a really dramatic look.
Sisley Phyto-Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow is priced at £31.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
Among my friends I’m known as something of a neutral eyeshadow aficionado. I have certain palettes I reach for during the day, those for night, and seriously special ones which I tend to stare at and drool over, rather than actually apply. I’m not quite sure where my new Sisley Phyto 4 Ombres Dream Eyeshadow Quartet fits in though, because the quad is as versatile as it is beautiful!
I’ve not tried Sisley eyeshadows before, so when the Phyto 4 Ombres Dream Quartet arrived, to say I was excited was a bit of an understatement! The palette has been released as part of Sisley’s Summer 2015 collection, and it really is a thing of beauty! The exterior of the compact is an eye-catching black and white chequerboard, which really stands out in the black hole which is my makeup bag, and it feels lovely and weighty to hold; there is even a lovely magnetic snap when you open and close it.
Inside is really something gorgeous though. I love the mix of warm toned browns and natural shadows. All four are quite shimmery, and they really benefit from Sisley’s unique gel-powder formula, which means they all feel super smooth to apply. All four of the shadows are well pigmented, and you can easily build up colour where you need it.
For an effortless feeling day look, I brush a little of the pink shadow over my lids, blend a little of the shell into my brow bone, the line using the soft brown. The mix of shadows gives the perfect amount of definition and warmth to my eye area, without feeling overdone. If I’m heading somewhere fancy, I apply basically the same, but pat a little of the light brown shadow on my lids and line with the chocolate shadow. The texture of the shadow feels perfectly buttery, and despite being quite shimmery, the colours last without a primer, and don’t settle into my eyelid crease.
Sisley’s Phyto 4 Ombres Dream Eyeshadow Quartet is priced at £57.00 and is available here (UK) and here (US)
