I always get so excited when the postman delivers my Glossybox. From the pretty little boxes to the ribbons, they have to be the best presented of the beauty boxes, and it’s always so much fun to learn about whats tucked inside.
This month is a little different from normal. The boxes are inspired by the magic of old Hollywood. Think Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly.
Instead of the normal pink boxes, my one was lovely lemon, complete with a sketch of Marilyn Monroe on the front. Inside, the ribbon matched the box, and the inside lid had an Audrey Hepburn quote. Before I even got through the tissue paper I knew the box was a winner!
The goodies inside this month’s Glossybox were also incredibly generous, with multiple full sized products as well as a sneak peek of a new Darphin product. Unfortunately my box was missing a red Lord and Berry lipstick pencil, but I was more than happy with the rest!
The Nougat bath pearls look like they will be so fun to use. I adore my bath time, so it’s always nice to try new types of product. I’ve never tried anything from the brand before, but apparently the pearls will leave a subtle shimmer after using, which sounds rather glamorous! I love the cute little bag they come in, and they have a delicate floral scent.
Pop Beauty’s Kajal Pen was next. I was super intrigued by this – I love full on kajal crayons, so this dinky one definitely appealed to me.
The formula feels lovely and smooth, and the payoff is great! I’ve already tucked it into my makeup bag to give a good try out over the next couple of days.
Darphin’s Beauty Revealing Balm is a new product for the brand, so it’s nice to get a little pot of the stuff to truly see if it works with your skin.
I’ve really enjoyed using Darphin products in the past, so I can’t wait to get stuck into this. The cream promises to enhance luminosity and increase firmness, so definitely one to use before a big night out!
Last, but not least, is probably my favourite product in the box – Color Club Nail Varnish in Barely There.
The box explains nude nails were super fashionable for superstars, and it is an absolutely stunning shade on the nail. Rather than a lot of nude shades I’ve tried, Barely There doesn’t run too yellow, brown or apricot. Instead its a kind of dusky, rosy taupe, that’s hard to explain. All I know is it looks super chic and understated on my nails. A true mannequin hands shade!
As you can probably tell, I absolutely loved this month’s box. It was a shame I missed out on the lip pencil, but considering I don’t regularly rock a red lip, I’m not too upset!
Glossybox costs £10 (plus P&P) and is available here.
