Yardley is one of those old school brands which has been around forever, and ever time I sample something, I know it’s going to be good! So you can imagine how excited I was when their newest scent, Hermina, popped through the letter box this weekend!
Described as an ‘an addictive, intense and feminine floral woody fragrance,’ Hermina blends top notes of pear, lemon and bergamot with fig, peach and black pepper. The base notes in the perfume are amber and woody notes, meaning that it lasts all day and has a lovely warm edge. The base also gives it a slightly masculine edge, meaning it’s perfect if you like the clean, almost androgynous feel to your perfumes (I know I love it!)
Hermina is priced at £19.99 and is available here.
Even though we’re really in the grips of winter now (seriously the wind and rain whipping outside the window at the moment is quite something!), I still love a beautiful light, fresh fragrance. One I’ve been regularly reaching for is Yardley’s new English Bluebell Eau de Toilette.
Yardley is one of those English heritage brands which produces the most beautiful, everyday toiletries, and the new fragrance is no different. Packaged in a beautifully understated glass bottle, the Eau de Toilette’s top notes include bergamot and cassis, so it’s very fresh, and quite fruity at first. Then, as it warms up with the skin, the heart notes of bluebell, jasmine, lily of the valley and peony become more prominent, making the scent feel like a very fresh floral. The base of the fragrance includes smooth woody notes, vanilla and musk which really round off the eau de toilette beautifully.
If you feel you need a little blast of a beautiful light floral, you really must try Yardley’s new offering!
Yardley’s English Bluebell Eau de Toilette is currently on offer for £9.99 and is available here
I can’t believe how close Christmas is getting, and talking to friends, I don’t think I’m the only one! So, since I’m feeling increasing festive I thought I would share one of the first beauty crackers I came across this year – featuring Yardley’s English Rose Hand Cream.
I feel like luxury beauty crackers might be taking over from the advent calendars which have been popular for the past couple of years. I think they’re absolutely adorable! They make amazing little gifts or even present add ons – and they don’t even need to be wrapped!
Yardley’s offering comes complete with a full size tube of their English Rose Hand Cream. I’ve never tried their creams before, but it’s a lovely lightweight formula which I’ve been reaching for during the day. Even though I can sometimes find rose fragrances too heavy, Yardley’s is beautifully light and almost fruity. It’s the perfect way to stop your hands drying out over the winter!
Yardley English Rose Hand Cream Cracker is priced at £4.00 and is available here
